Agree too. I think this is a better alternative than Dixie this year not having a Freshman team so if those kids want to play they would have to play JV. Not all Freshman bodies are capable of playing up and practicing against Juniors and Seniors so it would turn those kids away from the game.

I don't think I would let him play much D either. He is a standout and wouldn't want to risk injury and the Union team has a lot of good players to put out there.

I was in no way questioning coaching but was asking to clarify by him saying "rite coaching." I don't know their coaches to have an opinion. The Turkeyfoot team looks good to me from what I have seen.

Is his coaching not good or helping him get better? Not sure who his coaches are at Turkeyfoot.

Running Back from Turkeyfoot #22 is good. He isn't the fastest, isn't slow either, but is hard to bring down and sees the field well.

I find this very surprising and it is not like Dixie is a small school. Went from 6A to 5A this year. I will be interested in seeing if this has damaging effects later in years on the varsity team and future freshman teams. I can't see too many kids that play football wanting to open enroll there for their freshman year if this could possibly happen.

Except Thursday games, it looks like there were some good ones this week.

8th grade large school I would think is still looking at the final 4 from last year. Highlands and Summit View one side of the bracket, St Pius and Conner the other side, with Camp Ernest knocking on the door.

I know playing up factors depend on school district. At Beechwood, do you know if he is allowed to play Middle School 8th grade and play High School levels too? I am curious because if what ABBPlayer said above about his AAU coaches are coaching 8th grade, it would be interesting to see if he moves up and doesn't play 8th grade.

I thought you did, my mistake if not. Good for him on being ranked 8th. I hadn't seen that. I saw a post if he should have been or not above, but either way he should be proud and great recognition of a skilled player.

I am not sure what I think of Middle School recruiting. Did Jefferson move to Ft Mitchell?

Summit View 13 - Turkeyfoot 12 Hard fought game for both sides

I wouldn't know honestly. Summit View did play at the battle of Union scrimmages but was in the morning group. Union also played in it prior years when it was hosted at Summit View.

Not needed either way. The Union program in my opinion is doing great things and a very competitive team with anybody they play. I am in no way trying to bash or discredit them. They are doing good things for future Ryle teams.

Summit View and Union didn't play in it. Union played South Kenton. Union to play in Middle School leagues isn't comparing apples to apples. Ockerman and Gray would need to field their own teams for that. South Kenton, most of Twenhofel and Summit View will all go to Simon Kenton so if they field a team together, then it would be the same.

Neither are part of the NKY Middle School league and I am not really sure where they play. Neither are Middle School teams, they are feeder programs.

Turkeyfoot and Campbell game was fun to watch. #22 for Turkeyfoot and #44 for Campbell are both playmakers. Neither played the first quarter of the game and it was 0-0, once both started playing the offenses took over. It was back and forth the rest of the game until #44 from Campbell was hurt again on their last drive.

I am not sure Twenhofel is that far down this year. They did beat Campbell last week. Summit View beat Woodland last week 33-12, and one of Woodland's TD's was the first kickoff return. Summit's defense is all around tough. Not too many holes on the team for either side of the ball. Summit View did have 3 defensive TD's but also turned the ball over on fumbles 3 times during the game inside of the 10 yard line and a drive that looked to be like they were going to score ended at half so that could have potentially been 4 more TD's for Summit View.

Defensive Tackle from Summit View in NKY, # 87. The kid is disruptive and spends all day in the backfield. I heard today it is his first time playing football this year.

I am not debating but asking, you are saying that 1 middle school has 4 of the best 8th grade WR's in the state?

You are looking at it as rare for percentage of kids but if you look at it as percentage of years somebody plays up with the same #'s, it looks much different. 4 kids in 6 years - 66% of the years I don't know an answer to this but wonder how that compares to other NKY programs?
