  1. According to Rule 8-2 The free throw(s) awarded because of a personal foul shall be attempted by the offended player. If such player must withdraw because of an injury or disqualification, his/her substitute shall attempt the throw(s) unless no substitute is available, in which case any teammate may attempt the throw(s) as selected by the team captain or head coach.
  2. I'm not sold on AC just yet. I see a real lack of depth. It 's going to hurt and cost them some games this season.
  3. I think Mercer will just be too much for my Bearcats. There was a nice article in the local paper this week about Anderson's strong...kicking game. It's never a good sign when the bright spot is how many yards your punter is averaging per punt. AC has some play makers but not enough talent and I think this is going to be a long season. Mercer rolls in this one 38-14. I hope the boys from AC keep their cool against Gunner.
  4. 5 - Ryle 3 - Trinity 3 - Mercer County 1 - Anderson County 1 - Wayne County 1 - Hopkinsville 1 - Frankfort 1 - Glasgow 1 - Christian County 1 - Highlands Tiebreaker #1: 62
  5. 7 - Wayne County 5 - West Jessamine 3 - Glasgow 2 - North Bullitt 1 - Anderson County Tiebreaker: West Jessamine

  7. Anderson is one big question. I don't think they have a good choice for QB but I think they have plenty of athletes in the backfield. There isn't going to be much of a passing attack but if the O-line can block they will be able to move the ball and put points on the board. On the defensive side of the ball I think they will struggle with stopping the run. Not a lot of size or meanness in the middle of the field. Unless a new face emerges I think it will be a long season on defense. Lots of questions in Lawrenceburg but a few will get answered Friday night in Crestwood.
  8. I'm a big Coach Glass fan. That district is about to be turned upside down.
  9. I heard Spencer County hired for Anderson County coach Brian Glass. If it is true, they got a steal.
  10. I don't personally know Coach Peach but I have heard a lot of parents not speak to fondly of the man. I don't know all the details but what I have heard is that the Martin kid was not treated right last season. I know when you start losing the detractors get louder but even when he was winning there seemed to be some discontentment from parents.
  11. Great teaser post...now what did you hear?
  12. Whether it's a girl I'm coaching or a lady I'm holding the door open for, I'm not slapping a female on the butt. An added note, I wouldn't slap a male player either. I'm a big fan of high fives, fist bumps, and pats on helmets.
  13. SO came to Anderson County in late January and just got ran out of the gym. SO folks, what happened that game? Tell me why I should wait until tomorrow to buy state tournament tickets.
  14. Especially for Simon Kenton fans.
  15. Questions. We have a lot of questions coming back. I feel our skills positions should be in good shape. QB Gillis comes back after a good sophomore season. The Peters kid is just an athlete who can make spectacular plays on both sides of the ball. Both lines and the linebackers are huge questions. They lost a lot of seniors out of those positions. Will be hard to replace.
  16. Our coach is returning so that pretty much ends any thoughts of success.
  17. KHSAA rules state: All playoff contests shall be held on Friday unless there exists a mutual agreement between the schools to hold the game on another day due to field conditions or availability, availability of officials, or in the mutual best interests of the competing teams.
  18. Can confirm. Also, I wouldn't count out those Bearcats. They are injured and backed in a corner. CCH might get scratched come Friday night.
  19. If Cov Catholic doesn't have the facilities to host the game Friday night, we would love to welcome them to come on down to Lawrenceburg.
  20. Anderson lineman recovers a fumble in the end zone for a score. 20-18.
  21. I think this will be a high scoring game. Might be sloppy early but adjustments will be made and this will be a slug fest. I feel like Anderson pulls this out in the end. I feel like they have some play makers on defense who will force one or two late turnovers that will be the difference.
  22. 7 - Henry Clay 5 - Casey County 3 - Clark County 2 - Dunbar 1 - Rockcastle County 1st Tiebreaker: Henry Clay
  23. No one has used the word concussion but I am assuming that was the case. I don't believe he plays this week. If it was a district game or postseason I would think different. Even with Martin this will be a tough game to win. They will give him another week.
