JDEaston Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 South Oldham finished 10-3 last season, losing by one point to 5A #2 Fern Creek in the third round of the playoffs. Anderson County finished the regular season 5-5, prior to losing to Covington Catholic 47-21 in the first round of the playoffs. Last season South Oldham beat the Bearcats of Anderson county 32-20. Can Anderson pull off the upset this season?
FootballBobcat Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Actually Anderson County won last seasons opener 32-20. Lots of changes in both teams this season. Look for South to pull this one out, but it seems to be a tough game for both teams to open with!
tskelfly Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 The last few victories for AC over South the AC QB was able to exploit the weak LB pass coverage and throw the ball around the field. without the QB back, AC may not be able to attack South the same way so I expect South to take the opener at home.
titan101 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Who is AC's QB this year and what grade is he in?

FLYGUY Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Anderson is saying all wing-t option, I don't think they will be very good they have had a few really nice players leave the program and did not have a whole lot returning.
random925 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Anderson is one big question. I don't think they have a good choice for QB but I think they have plenty of athletes in the backfield. There isn't going to be much of a passing attack but if the O-line can block they will be able to move the ball and put points on the board. On the defensive side of the ball I think they will struggle with stopping the run. Not a lot of size or meanness in the middle of the field. Unless a new face emerges I think it will be a long season on defense. Lots of questions in Lawrenceburg but a few will get answered Friday night in Crestwood.
