We are going through the appeals process right now with my son for soccer. The season is half over and we just had a hearing. We were told everything was being denied and those willing to appeal would get a hearing. With 500 transfers so far this year I understand why it's taking so long. But, there has to be a better process. My frustration is how some schools get top athletes transferring in every season for football and basketball and it doesn't raise a flag at all. But a sophomore soccer player gets flagged. It's no good for the kids.

This did not happen at a football game but a soccer match. I think this forum gets more interaction so forgive me. Saturday a player was ejected from a varsity soccer match and after being so gave a solid two-hand push to the official. The game was immediately stopped. The SRO at the game spoke to the official who wants to press charges. What is typical KHSAA punishment in these situations?

The dynamics of our family changed recently. I've decided to move to another county for a fresh start. My son moved with me. I've not been in our residence for over two months and can't be, but his mom still lives there. Is this going to be an issue with transferring. I never thought about it until we had to fill out that form. Reading the form I'm worried KHSAA will not allow it.

Was this a good hire? Being connected to both Anderson and Western Hills it feels like Hills knocked it out of the park. Young guy, full of energy. While Anderson feels different.

Coach Mark Palmer resigned on Tuesday. Pate at of players seem to be upset. Haven’t heard one bad word about the man. Coach Palmer inherited a team in shambles that was playing g in an impossible district. He struggled to win games. Rumor is the AD was actively looking for a replacement before terminating Coach Palmer. After learning about this, Palmer resigned.

Simon Vanderpool was announced this morning. Defensive coordinator from Great Crossings. I like the hire. Young. Energetic. I think he will get some kids to come back out.

A few years ago I believe I found a report on KHSAA’s website with a list of athletes who had been ejected from contests or received something more than a regular foul such as a yellow card or technical in basketball. Do they still make that available? Is there a penalty for accumulating yellow cards per KHSAA rules?

What are the mercy rules for softball? Is 4 the minimum number of innings?

Not a chance! While there are blowouts there are also games where 2 teams are fighting with all they have to get to the District Finals and earn a trip to Regions. Those games are electric and what high school sports are about.

My daughter has recently been diagnosed with migraine headaches. She spent a week at UK hospital while they ran tests and tried to break a severe migraine she was having. Thankfully nothing came back out of the ordinary so they believe it is just migraines. Doing research and talking to some people it seems a daith piercing can help relieve symptoms. The issue is she plays basketball. Is there any exemptions that would allow a piercing to remain in if for medical reasons?

They are apparently forming a committee to interview players and parents to gather feedback. Don't seem to be in a hurry. They are also offering no comment on what led to him being let go.

Anderson's defense will keep them in games. They have some studs on defense that I think will give opponents fits. Their offense is a big question. The kid from Montgomery County will help but they are going to have to complete a pass or two at some point in the season and I don't know if that can happen. i don't see Anderson's offense scoring a lot but their defense should put them in good positions and help out.
