I guess we learned a little more about both teams . . . Tough test with North Hardin next week

I agree E-town's first two games were probably easier than expected. But I don't get all the love for North Oldham either. What kind of speed do they have with Beasley gone? And they beat up on Western and Oldham, not exactly a gauntlet to start the season either. Should be a great game Friday.

I think at this point nothing would surprise me from that 5A district. After 2 weeks I could see about any team but Oldham County winning the district. Think it will get very interesting.

And North Oldham has beat up on Western and Oldham County, wouldnt call either one of those quality either. Think we find out a little more about both teams after this week.

Why has Oldham dropped so far? Are they not still the largest school in the county, can they not find any quality athletes in the school?

Yep, banned by KHSAA. Believe it has to do with FAA regulations and general liability.

6-0 Etown after 3 qtrs of varsity. CAL had solid first drive but threw int in endzone. Traded drives before Etown scored on about 30 yard run. Took delay of game and missed PAT, from stands it appeared they couldnt find PAT block. Etown killed several good drives with dumb penalties, grounding and 3 personal fouls. After first drive CAL seemed to get away from run game and Etown defended pass pretty well. Etown had first down on 20 going in when 3rd qtr ended. JVs did the 10 play thing after that.

Anyone know who East and West Jessamine scrimmaged tonight and how those went?

And as I said I realize its not necessarily an indication of Friday nights. However I had heard from a coaching friend that they played very poorly and I knew they lost a lot the last 2 seasons. I know that new 5A region without John Hardin is wide open, just wondering who is showing in the summer they might be ready to fill that void.

Heard Bullitt East struggled. Not that its any indication of Friday nights but I guess they arent going to take advantage of their John Hardin-less new region.

7 on 7 was at Central Hardin. Central Hardin vs Bullitt Central and North Hardin vs I dont know was the final 4 from what I heard.

I would think Bell and Belfry should be favored to play in semi state. Lex Cath, Boyle, Bardstown, Central, PT makes a pretty tough other half.
