Sander is an AD in Bullitt East region, sure he knows BE principal and AD. I wouldnt read too much into that unless there was other info.

Is the writing on the wall at BE? Frakes mentioned in his game preview this was worst season in 20 years.

Paducah Tilghman at Etown Spencer at John Hardin I think both will be good games

Etown has their work cut out for them with PT. But as a fan, I hope we get to see an Etown/Caldwell matchup, would be fun.

Fairdale sounds tough but didn't expect it to be this bad. Pretty sad effort by BE.

No Fairdale gets South Oldham. North Bullitt plays Fern Creek.

#3 Bullitt East is certainly capable of beating #2 Fairdale. Not sure the current injury situation there, and I remember Fairdale really shut down East offensively last year, should be a competitive game. Of course I thought East should be John Hardin last year in the playoffs and they didn't even act like they wanted to be there. So will be interesting to see if they're already thinking about turning in equipment and moving on to basketball season. #3 Doss is also capable of beating #2 North Bullitt. North should win, but it seems lately they've played a good quarter or half and then had to survive (see BE and BC games) until the end. If they don't start fast against Doss I can see this also being a good first round match-up.

If you're going to include Etown in Louisville power rankings, I would think you'd also include South Oldham and Shelby County, both of which I'd rank above PRP.

Some counties you can do that. Bullitt County does not allow administrators to coach.

Stick to Hardin Co. Larry started games at QB for them last season and Manny played varsity as a freshman, which doesnt happen at T. They wouldve been impact players had they gotten it together. And yes financial hardship is not a KHSAA approved transfer reason. Thats why I thought JCPS also had a specific policy about kids having to sit when transferring from public to private or private to public, to dissuade these sorts of issues.

Reading CJ this morning and they talked about the emergence of the Harper brothers for Waggener. How are they possibly eligible when they played at least the first 3 varsity contests for Trinity (check KHSAA stats)? If there was a change of address, Waggener and Trinity are about 1 mile apart, so how does that justify eligibility? I thought JCPS also had their own rules on sitting out when transferring from private to public or vice versa? I have never heard of kids playing varsity in the same sport for 2 different schools in the same season.

Being a good teacher is not necessarily an indication that you will be a good coach. But in my experience the best coaches I've had have also been outstanding teachers. And I don't think that is a coincidence.

I've not heard anything at all. Someone made comment about East and I was just speculating. I was under the impression he and principal were St. X buddies, and heard he's driving from Southern Indiana everyday. With principal gone I just thought it would not be surprising. There are conditions at all 3 Bullitt schools where I could see a change, don't know how likely any of them are though. They've definitely had an outstanding season and exceeded expectations,

Theres a youth league, but they only play other Bullitt county teams so competition and talent is very watered down. Each HS has about 3 feeder teams essentially corresponding with each elementary school (LJ, Roby, Cedar Grove, etc). But by the time they are A team there were only about 15 kids a team, at least the last time I went to a game. Not sure why they dont have middle school football, I hear they have middle school baseball now. Im just surprised coaches in the county havent advocated for it more. I think you see some of the best programs in the state have a strong middle school system, get them to run their scheme, use their terminology. Can only help.

I wouldn't call it hot seat, but it wouldn't surprise me to see at least 1 Bullitt County job come open. Someone on here already mentioned grumblings at East. I'd be surprised if they fired/asked HC to resign, he's an Egan guy and they love them at East. At Central, the AD and Principal that wanted to bring in Lawson are both already gone. Wouldn't surprise me to see him go to JCPS. Same situation at North, Principal buddies with Billings and he leaves a couple weeks into school. So it wouldn't surprise me if any of those came open.

Those facilities were nice in 1986 and Bullitt East had 700 kids and was 2A. Same locker room for a 5A school with over 1400 kids now. At North they were in the process of taking half their locker room away to create bathrooms. Latest renovation to all 3 high schools took away practice fields at each. I heard at East they built new tennis courts on practice field and they now have less than half a field. North was practicing on baseball outfield or soccer field and Central was practicing on a patch of grass in front of school next to HWY 44. And again, no middle school football. As for school board, the county is divided into districts and there are 5 board members to represent each district. Only 1 district in Mt. Washington, so only 1 Mt. Washington board member. And if anything, Central gets the preferential treatment from the Board.

I think from the outside perspective any of the Bullitt schools would be a good job. But there has to be an investment from the BOE. Little to no practice field, same bleachers, track and locker rooms from when the schools were built and half the size they are now at all 3 schools. And no middle school football in Bullitt County, which blows my mind.

Award for best stats or best player? If best player I'd say best candidates are Daniel, Baker and Rodjay Burns.

I think North has more explosive players, but has jumped out to big leads and then struggled on both sides of the ball to finish in several games. I would also worry there might be a little let down after winning Bullitt Cup last week. South Oldham 35-21.

Bottom line, Adair didnt have enough speed for Cecil, Sullivan and Jay Becherer.

Still not ok, but Im hearing the conversation was between an Etown coach and the Adair coach with the red visor, as he was in the middle of some of the sideline scuffle.
