I had heard that most other parts of the state plate jv/varsity DH with the JV game only being 5 innings. It has to be because of their fields having lights. Not enough fields in NKy have lights to be able to do this. Anyone add to this?

No sour grapes by me if that was directed at me. I have no dog in the fight. I would just like to see another school in the 9th compete with NDA and their has been very few that have. Best of luck to the new coach, she will have her work cutout to get NCC back to a top team like they were before.

Allowing high school baseball start earlier by two weeks is ridiculous. It's way too cold for anyone to be outside, and why waste a game when your boys can't feel their fingers?

I believe last year it was said that coaches get 3 games for an ejection and players 2 games. Can anyone confirm?

Don't think so, just think they have been resting on the same old same old for sp long I hope she comes in and makes big changes.

I wish her the best but sorry for being devils-advocate, time will only tell if NCC was just filling the position or they really wants to transform the program. The talent is there, will we be seeing the making of a new dominate program in the 9th Region? They were definitely in need of a new direction. Best of luck. .

Why not at 9th region pole only since when Regionals come around that's really all that matters.

Does it seem like that a lot of the top players join the travelers and end up leaving? Why is that?

Don't get me wrong he is a really really good player, but it is a little hard to think that he eats up opposing big men. His strengths are the fact that he can shoot the jumper from just about anywhere he wants. If he has to put his back up against a true big man, then he will be still shooting a lot of jumpers and not making the post moves the other big man is making. Again, don't get me wrong but I feel his best is yet to come.

As far at the 9th, Dixie comes to mind.

I thought this would be interesting topic being that we are getting ready to go into tournament time. I wanted to know what everyone thought it takes to be that overall dominating program. We all know it takes talent, so that is the obvious. I'll start this off by saying a strong freshman program. Something that breeds the kids for the next levels success. And go......

Is it me or did NCC only play 6 kids in the 2nd half with the 6th coming in with a minute left? Have they lost confidence in their bench? Not a way to get ready for tournament time.

True colors are coming out tonight. .. when you can't beat them, you complain about everything. it's not over but when you're down it shows what type of coach you really are.

The difference between a good program and a great program. Can't just coach at practice and then at games. They do a good job of working on their positional players.

Tough group of boys. Will be fun watching when these boys become juniors and seniors.

Was his ankle bothering him and he didn't play much? I would have thought he would have killed it being BBHS has no real size.. Inquiring minds wants to know..

Don't know what it is, but I kind of agree that it could be close if the Mustangs had a big guy presence inside but unfortunately hey don't. I don't believe they have anyone that can match up with the strength of McDonald and the quickness of Weyer.

4 words... "You must want to" If a kid doesn't want to be a top player then he will never be. Once the talent is there, it all becomes mental.
