I think its a shame we don't see more JV tournaments. This would us to see other up and comers from around the state.

I think I attribute that to lack of supporting cast. Watching NCC I notice that you can't concentrate on any one person because the others all have hot hands. I'm not sure Newport as that say problem. Newport JV is good, Breds will need to come out and play.

Will the roller coaster for Newport and Holy Cross be over and they will start to play some solid basketball?

Well worth the 3 hour drive down to God's country to see this game. Would love to know how many offensive rebounds SLC had because I don't think it was many. With the height difference between the Breds and SLC didn't seem to matter much because Weyer and McDonald seem to match up pretty well. Great game by Weyer.

Been fun keeping up with the NCC boys. I know it has to hurt not having to main guards that are playing up but it has allowed some other to step up. Hope to make it out to the CCH/NCC game on the 15th.

Nice win for Newport but they are so up and down. I'm hoping they get on a roll here soon.

Fair response. Was not thinking of the other Anderson. I guess I was thinking of a school like Cov Cath where they can play 5 or more off the bench but they are also a larger school.

How is that playing with any depth? I guess as long as they all stay healthy that will work. What happens when Pangallo or one of the main players gets in foul trouble like he did against Doss? Can they still play at such a high level when they play teams like Cov Cath/Trinity coming up?

I agree totally they could have done more during the game but that is how baseball/softball plays. You could be down the whole game and one hit wins the game. Happens much more than a winning 3pt shot that wins the game.

Bardstown had no answer for his size inside. 1 exception some really quick hands from small guards that was able to grab the ball from him several times. The score may have seemed closer but Bardstown didn't have an answer last night. Freppon seems to come up with the ball everytime you turn around.

I will say it was fun listening to people talk about Bolden's ball handling. I enjoyed watching when 3 guys were guarding him and he would get out if it. The only thing was the bad passes that came from some of his over handling of the ball.

Sounded like an exciting game.

Not basketball but can anyone say state fast pitch tournament this past year?? Those officials missed a huge call. Did anything happen to those officials?

I deleted my post, that's my bad. My response was a little in frustration of someone continually posting thinking ppl are listening. My bad on my quick post. I think games have be won/lost based on a bad call. That happens each year regardless of the sport. Officials do make mistakes they are human. That isn't really what I feel this question is about. My question would be, have officials dictated how a game was to be played and the outcome could have been different had it been called more loose or even more tight.

Fun game to watch. To me, it appeared to be a game that was going to be a fight to the very end.

I have to say it's pure entertainment to watch this kid play each time. He moves so smoothly and his passes are just unreal. I look forward to watching this young man play at the next level.

Bosshog, I'm unsure of your constant need to take shots at NCC I'm usually used to seeing you touting on your Blue Colonels. If you are trying to stir up stuff please understand no one is listening. Me included..

Im sorry but unless you're living under a rock, any ref, any parent or grandparent, the kid down the street who's brother plays HS basketball is going to have heard of any of the teams that are constantly in the top of the state. Those refs were there last year I'm a 100% positive. Silly comment......

Made the long trek down there and saw some pretty good basketball. I think that if the Doss/NCC had the same officials that Holmes had in their game the game would have been played completely different. In the Doss/NCC game the refs completely dictated how the game was played. With over 25 fouls in the first half that pretty much told you how it was going to be. If I remember correctly it was 9-2 on fouls after the 1st quarter if that gives you an indication that they called as many/if not more in the 2nd quarter. I personally don't like it when refs decide to call it tight in one game and the next group doesn't. That was made obvious based on the refs in the Holmes game calling so few fouls while both teams were playing pretty physical. For NCCs sake I'm guessing they hope they don't see those refs again.
