  1. Who cares? That happens all of the time in nearly every sport. It's life....it's not unique to Kentucky 4A / 6A football. The world will, most assuredly, keep spinning on its axis. :thumb: :thumb:
  2. Fellows, please focus this debate on the game upcoming this weekend. This should be a competitive game and is worthy of a solid prediction thread. Any more comments directed at other posters will result in this one being closed down. Thanks for your help in keeping us on task. Thanks.
  3. With all due respect to Boyle Co., CCH and Highlands have been consistently great for the last 20 years. Should CCH and Highlands be in opposite regions? The fact that poeple can, with a straight face, argue that 2 teams in the same city should be in different regions is comical to me. It happens, great teams end up on the same side of the bracket, woe is us. I can't believe T and X fans feel picked on because they don't get to be in opposite semi-state brackets.
  4. Doesn't bother me in the least.
  5. The winner of Doss / Valley has an outside shot of winning that District (3) and Region (2).
  6. Some potential "upsets" in AAA this weekend: ** Franklin-Simpson "could" beat Warren East ** Doss "very well may" beat Valley ** North Bullitt has an "outside chance" of upending Central ** Franklin Co. "certainly could" beat East Jessamine ** Mason Co. "has a chance" to beat Ashland Blazer
  7. I would say the "Game of the Week" winner this week didn't disappoint!
  8. Love the Bankemper kid -- hope he has a speedy recovery. That would be a big dent on Beechwood's post-season plans. I hope he is okay!
  9. Biggest upset of the night; among the biggest of the season. Many folks that I respect a great deal had Central penciled in as a team to contend for the big one, and they still might, but this result is shocking. Good for Doss, had to win to get in (with the BE loss) and they got it done. Huge, huge win for Doss.
  10. Boom, I'm glad you brought up the HHS' kickoffs; it had me befuddled. I know Joseph is dynamite in Kick-return, but to give it to them automatically at the 35 all night was odd. Might as well on-side it and try to recover one if you're going to do that. Seemed strange to me as well. I just assumed that Dale wasn't going to let Joseph beat him on Special Teams.
  11. That's a weird post from a person who on July 21st said... --------------- Like everyone else, I want to wish Mike the speediest of recoveries. I learned of this injury tonight in line at Subway in Union of all places. I hope he can come back and have a MONSTER Senior year. :thumb: :thumb:
  12. Can you post a new thread with the final please........that is HUGE. Thanks. --------------------------- So does that eliminate Bullitt East since they lost the head-to-head with North Bullitt? Ouch....
  13. Not to pile on ICN6, but how many times were they going to focus the camera on the wrong coach on the CCH sideline? My wife kept saying, "...are you sure that isn't the head coach?" Umm, yeah honey, I'm sure.
  14. Wow -- I'm not only surprised at the winner, but most assuredly the outcome! What does this do to the district seedings with Doss, NB, and BE all at 5-3? Who gets the short straw and the end of their season?
  15. The District Championships will be handed out in two weeks. :thumb:
  16. You could see this one coming.
  17. Wow. I was shocked that CCH was able to move the ball that well against the HHS defense. The lack of Bluebird pass rush was surprising. Clay Cecil was unreal. The Colonels kept Kramer in check, but Conner on mis-directions and Cecil on draws were just awesome. Popham is a freak. How about those kicks in a game of that magnitude? Are you kidding? The rematch in Park Hills will be awesome. That play-by-play guy for ICN6 was dreadful. The weather, combined with the live telecast, combined with the given rematch in a fortnight killed Highlands at the gate.
  18. There are always games that are great that aren't mentioned, however, the only games that make these threads are the ones between Top 10 teams in their class. Games that deserve notoriety statewide, games that even people with no "dog in the fight" would be interested in seeing. Heck, next year, with 6 Top 10's, these threads will become very competitive.
  19. With one more vote, this week will set the record for votes cast. I don't think HHS / CCH will catch St. X / Trinity for votes for one game though. I just hope the game lasts longer.
  20. While I think Cecil's running ability is a big weapon, this analogy is crazy. Your choice of Bleser's equal is a broke down old veteran? Is Cecil's running more dangerous than Josh's passing? Probably. I would think that Cecil getting loose in the secondary is even more concerning to the CCH Coaching Staff than Kramer...and that is saying a lot.
