In 1A, LCA is a team to watch out for. They knocked out Beechwood last year and despite losing a lot of skill players, seem to be better this year.

3A - Johnson Central. They don't play a team ranked ahead of them until the state semifinals.

I think Lincoln Co. could very well be a sleeper in the 4A bracket. Just could go several games deep into the tournament.

Frankfort is having a great year....assuming they win their first round game they will be up against Danville again and something tells me it will be harder to beat the Admirals the second time around, but they definitely have a shot AND my support!!

 

Caldwell has turned heads this year after losing the opener to Mayfield, but their district is mighty tough.....assuming they win their first round game they will play the winner of Trigg/Ft. Campbell. You might as well flip a coin because all these teams are pretty even..........

 

I would have picked Warren East, but they already played Bowling Green once this year and got killed, which leaves me to believe they have no chance of winning IF they play them again.....Johnson Central seems to be playing good ball and won't see anyone too tough intil the regional champoinship, but can they win the big game????? We will see.......

 

Graves Co. and Owensboro Sr. have both had great seasons, but Owensboro seems to have a MUCH tougher defense, which i predict will take them much further than Graves, not to mention Graves is on a tougher bracket, while Owensboro's only serious competition is Henderson, whom they already beat by a couple of scores.........

The winner of Doss / Valley has an outside shot of winning that District (3) and Region (2).

Johnson Central has all the tools needed to win 3 or 4 play-off games this season. JC has never made it past the 2nd round. This being the best team in school history, I think they can win atleast 3 games. Northern Kentucky football is very different than mountain football. JC will compete with any team they play. If they can get over the gitters, we could see this team playing in Louisville.

Might want to wait and see what the Rock and Bell have to say about it before you get ready for the NKY squads.

I think in 4A Campbell County will make a good run and shock some people. They are a pretty good football team.

I believe these are the most likely to move on...

1a-Harlan - Plain and simple, I'm basing this on what district there in..They are pretty much on an even playing field with Somerset and Pikeville and it wouldn't shock me if they pulled it off...

2a-Larue Co.- Western is the only other strong team in there district and they could have peaked too early after there performance last week, so, i feel they've got a good shot...

3a- Johnson Central - Clearly the best team in there district. only question mark is lack of playoff or big game experience. Should be the favorite to win region and then only need 1 big win against a CC or Highlands and they're there..

4a- Owens Sr. - Teams not been talked about alot this year, but, they've got a great defense and don't have to play the Lville region teams till at least the finals and should be able to compete with any team before that..

I think they have a small chance of winning it all but a chance at that. We all know that the NKY teams and Bowling Green would be a big step up from anyone they would play in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs.
