Is it true that the baseball field will be 360 in the corners and 410 in center field? If so, I'm betting that X has some really long ball knockers on the way.

When the Rocks played Cincy St.X in 03 they called themselves the "real" St.X. They have a really loud and creative student cheering section. As mad as I got during that game at some of the cheers, I still laughed.

I have heard that Coach Glaser had a couple of "parents meetings" to deal with similar team unity issues during the season. This can't be standard operating procedure at X.

It is official now. MBA is out and Cincy St.X is in. The Rocks travel there in 07 with the Blue Bombers coming to Marshall Stadium in 08. I like the fact that the Rocks will have two games under their belt entering this game (they are going to need them). X looks like they will be in the mix for the Ohio D1 crown next year and that says a lot. Remember Rocks, what doesn't kill you omnly makes you stronger.:thumb:

Jamie is a really nice guy. I wish him lots of luck at that school up north. He provided a very informative and unique perspective on "how things work" at X. Prior to the start of the season X added a defensive coach that played at UofL (I think). I can't recall his name but his hiring was much celebrated, how did he work out and will he be back next season? Any chance Will Wolford takes over coaching O-line?

Yes and no. He injured his left collar bone in practice last year at WR. He injured his right collar bone in the state game playing QB. He could have easily stepped out of bounds after getting the first down, but thats not William. I'm guessing we'll see a little more caution in the future.

Sorry but Trinity has three starting OL back. Mattingly also had some starts during the season at OL and he will be back. The game in question seems to be a go. It will be a great way to see just where the Rocks stand.

I would like to see Sam at TE next year. The possibilities are endless. I know I wouldn't like to confront him coming across the middle of the field. I bet he would be pretty tough to keep out of the endzone as well.

I don't believe that anyone at T would have promised any transfer anything. In addition I have my doubts that Zach will ever play for the Rocks at this point, JMO. I would hope that he didn't leave X for the long shot chance of playing only his senior year at T. T returns 5 underclassmen that have started at one time or another at O-line. I understand that Zach didn't want to gain as much weight as he was told he needed to to have a shot at playing O-line at X. The Tigers like their O-linemen up around 300# while T likes them in the 220#-240# range. Different strokes for different folks.

Well XTiger, you asked for it so here it goes. I don't think Trinity currently embraces transfers. Any potential newcomer would find themselves behind in the learning curve and without much credibility with coaching staff. Any kid that would transfer for "football reasons" to get a "better shot" etc. wouldn't find Trinity a very attractive new home. This may be good or bad, I really don't have much of an opinion on the matter. So if a kid is going to make a change and become a Rock, I would say it would have to be done as a freshman or be willing to drop to the bottom of the depth chart. On the other hand Coach Glaser seems to embrace any and all transfers from Trinity. There are quite a few kids that didn't feel they were "getting their shot" at Trinity and found playing time or even a starting role at X. If you would like to discuss any by name I would suggest we do so in PMs. JMO.

Of Trinity's ten coaches, five have won titles and five have not. I guess that theory about anybody can win state at Trinity is very sound. To put it in perspective, Trinity and St.X have many of the same "advantages". Yet Coach Glaser hasn't won fifty games in a row, or gone undefeated, or three-peated, or even re-peated for that matter. Coach Glaser has done a fine job with six titles to his credit. But some of the things that certain men have done as coach of the Rocks is pretty amazing. FYI, I mentioned Coach Smith as one of the best in my original post on this thread.

FYI, I don't have a "boy". It is insulting to all the kids that you consider "average" , maybe you would have picked your kid, but it aint your job to pick. So I think you would be better served with explaining why your boy should have been picked without talking down the kids that did get picked. And you will have to excuse me if I choose to comment on any thread that I care to, I've been doing this a little while now. Sorry.

I think its pretty sad to read some posters on this board claim that this poll is a "joke" etc. I wonder what you would think if your boy got selected rather than omitted. Then the AP would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Have a little class and respect for the kids that were selected. If you don't like this poll or any others keep your yap shut and start your own poll. :madman:

In the past ten years there have only been a handful of kids that have transfered in to Trinity and played sports. In recent years a number have decided to transfer out. St.X got most of those.

Here we go again. Your boy gets one vote more than the two time MVP of the state finals and you cry foul about the all-state voting. I guess if that is hard to believe try understanding how Petrino didn't make all-district.:eek:
