Henderson County dismisses baseball Coach Nanthan Isenberg
Emmitt replied to Emmitt's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
500 - Team was 24-14 this year, lost in the region to the winner and return with 7 seniors and 8 juniors and one of the best sophomores in the region, a veteran team who will be one of if not the regional favorite. Yea, it would have been nice to a few if the kid and his Dad could have ousted Isenberg and got the Uncle installed as the new coach with this veteran group coming back. They succeeded in getting Isenberg fired BUT the uncle will not be the new coach. -

Misleading when you say tapes, only one tape in this fiasco. -

I have listened to the tape and heard nothing that would warrant firing him. I was asking woodsrider because he said he did what he was accused of and my question is still " what is he accused of " - a simple question for those in the know. -

Mistake on my part, should have said a few educators I know are very slow in admitting they may have made a mistake. -

Interesting situation in this case. A lot of support for reinstating Coach Isenberg. Several hundred have signed a petition to that regard. The Super, principal and school board getting clobbered on social media since some interesting facts have come out. I think it's unlikely because educators and those on the board have a hard time admitting that they may have made a mistake. The only victims in this case are Coach Isenberg and his family. -

That's exactly what he was told. They knew who there were going to hire before it was posted. -
Coach had a 675 winning percentage 280-139-1 in his 11 years as coach. Four regional championships, 2 final fours, 1 state runner up BUT the Super wants a different direction. In reality three parents wanted a different direction. Ringleader devised a scheme to get rid of Isenberg and worked it to perfection, culminating with a player posting stuff on social media and the player recording the conversation with the coach when he called to inquire about the post etc. Evidently an edited version was released to those in charge and thus the dismissal. Isenberg had dismissed an asst. coach earlier in the week who was rumored to have been working behind his back all season. That coach was kin to the player. Isenberg's record speaks for itself and the number of kids he has prepared for the next level is substantial. I might add that he is well respected by his peers and umpires in the second region. If I was a player or parent I would be very concerned about the different direction.

Caldwell County defeats Union County 6-2 for the second region championship. This is the second year in a row the Tigers have advanced to the state tournament. They also beat the Braves last year in the regional final. Good luck in the state tourament.

Union defeats Livingston Central 9-8 and Caldwell County got by Henderson 5-3. These two will meet tomorrow night for the second year in a row for the regional title. The Tigers won last year and are heavy favorite tomorrow with the arms they have left. This will be Coach Robison's fourth regional final in the seven years he has coached and he has won two of them, continuing a new era in Union County Baseball.

Union County for the second year in a row sent Christian County home with a 6-5 upset win. CC with a regular season record of 24-9 compared to UC 16-21 had beat the Braves 12-2 in a regular season game. The big blow came in the top of the 6th with Union down 4-0, had runners on first and second with no outs. Coach Robison whom I think it's safe to say plays a lot of small ball but has been known to all of us to gamble on occasion did just that. Instead of giving Coy Burns the bunt sign he gave him the green light and he jacks it over the left field fence. All of us here assumed he would move the runners up with a bunt. Big day for Coy as he then came in to pitch Union out of a jam in the bottom of the 6th and get 2-3-4 out in the bottom of the 7th. Coach Robison doesn't get a whole lot of credit but he has revived the Union baseball program to a level not seen before. This is a very young team and the future is bright for the Union program.

Same old story in the 8th, Regional winner for sure -
The Storm thought they had a gimmie and didn't come to play, evidently.

This is a time I think Brohm would benefited from having an Agent. An Agent would have been contacting multiple schools looking for the best deal. He is an excellent coach and recuiter plus a good human being. Being a WKU alum always wondered why some of the big alum donors with the deep pockets haven't stepped up to keep a coach like Jeff. He is gone.

As we all know, the biggest obstacle for Beechwood moved to 2a couple years ago.

Just an ole country boy, little slow at times, thanks for the tip

This was one heck of a game, two very good football teams. Hard to imagine neither being in the final four and my prediction is neither.
-
No doubt a false start - as far as Knight, would love to end with three National Championships and a Hall of Famer
-
Should be easy but seems many teams struggle after a bye week.

A bad night for Jackson is a good night for most QB's - 145 or so yards rushing, a passing td and a rushing td and regardless how, a victory.

Big victory for the Colonels and Coach Boston - secured the2nd seed in the district and a home playoff game - rough week, only about half of team showed for practice Tuesday with fall break and all - amazing how some kids and parents just do not have the interest it takes to be successful - in addition several key players out with injuries, another key player missed I think because his brother getting married tomorrow night. Hard road for Hendo in the future with low interest and playoffs against the Louisville district every year. Coach Boston deserves lot of credit for this victory. Best of luck in the playoffs and in the future.
