The Union county softball team picked up a couple of big wins last week over top ranked teams. Union defeated Daviess County 5-3 and then South Warren 2-1.

The Union County squad with a couple of D-1 commits in Jaci Babbs (UK) and Randi Conway (Semo) is showing others around the state that Region 2 softball is to be taken seriously.

At 6-1, the Bravettes are looking to challenge Madison-North Hopkins and Christian County for the region title and a trip to the state tourney!

I'm not sure Union is ready to challenge for the region crown. The pitching hasn't been as good as last year. Lyon County beat them on their home field. They are a good team, but not on the level of Madisonville.

Jaci Babbs, UC sophomore already committed to the Cats, WOW. Been told she's one heck of a player. Her recuitment will probably open back up as she progresses unless her travel team coaches and sponsors are tied to UK.
