  1. So far your predictions have held! Webster over Lyon by 10! What a crazy start and finish. And Christian over Hopkins Central. But, the margin was 25 which was a surprise. Looking forward to tonight's action!
  2. Hey Jesse,

Having trouble accessing the girls basketball forum. I can't see any posts like I have in the past. It just asks if I want to post axnew thread. The forum looks right and the same as before in the college basketball forum, ,but can't access any high school athletic forums. Any ideas about why? Is it just something I am doing wrong or not doing?

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for all the updates from teams all over the state! Appreciate all you do to promote the girls game! Excellent info!
  4. Good win for Hendo. Kudos to coaching staff for playing such a tough schedule. I have always thought until Henderson loses they deserve to be number one. Not sure that I would put too much into the Hopkinsville win over Webster in first game of the season. I think Hoptown beat them last year in the first game of the season in Dixon.
  5. Webster didn't have starting point guard, still recovering from last year's knee injury. She didn't play at all in varsity scrimmage. Even without her, Webster won one quarter and Murray won 3. If added up score from all 4 quarters Murray won by 15. They ran their offense very well and also shot a high percentage from the floor. They are a definitely a state contender. Well coached and talented team! Webster looked timid early with new coach and no point guard. They missed a ton of easy baskets, but came back and won second quarter. Still very young with only one senior, but will also have a good season.
  6. Scrimmage with Murray on nov. 19th should be interesting to see if Webster is a real contender in Second region.
  7. It should be the year for someone else to step up and win the Region! Webster County has been runner up the last two years and only lost one starter and get back point guard from knee injury, so they are the logical choice to upend Henderson this season. But, Christian County and Hopkinsville should not be overlooked.
  8. Yes, She is playing with mostly 2018's & 2017's on Illinois Force 16u Gold. Mostly showcase and national tourneys like super pool at Scenic City, Colorado Sparkler, and hopefully ASA 16U Gold Nationals in Broken Arrow. She will also guest play on a few other top teams this summer and fall. She is looking to pick up especially after third week of July.
  9. Karlie Keeney-P,1st, Webster County- Karlie was voted Pre-season All-Region Team by Region 2 Coaches Association. This was a great honor coming from coaches. She currently has 12 wins in the circle (with 6 losses to top squads like Male, Bullitt East, Owensboro Catholic, Apollo, and Union County (2) all top 25 ranked teams!). Karlie would have several more wins this season, but she is giving up games against weaker competition to give her 8th grade teammate, Grace Scott, some varsity experience! Grace is also having a great year with a 5-1 record in circle. Against tough competition, Karlie has only given up 23 earned runs this year for a 1.33 ERA! Karlie also has 106Ks in 121 innings. She is hitting .322 with 9 extra base hits, including her first home run! And, Karlie has a fielding percentage of .981!
  10. Anybody see the game? How did Collins score?
  11. If 9 teams dropped out, there were still 7 left. Why not let those kids play today?
  12. I agree 100%! Totally ridiculous! Parents, boosters, and schools spent a ton of money for 3 pool play games and no tourney! Today's weather in Bowling Green is better than yesterday! Those teams willing to stay and play deserve a complete refund in my opinion!
  13. Agreed Kaylee is also the real deal! How about co-top players? My thinking was Mallory has been called upon to also pitch as the number 1 this year with the loss of Heather Webb! And, really she could play every position on the field including pitcher for her team! Those two would be hard to top! Looking forward to watching them both play in the SEC!
  14. The Union county softball team picked up a couple of big wins last week over top ranked teams. Union defeated Daviess County 5-3 and then South Warren 2-1. The Union County squad with a couple of D-1 commits in Jaci Babbs (UK) and Randi Conway (Semo) is showing others around the state that Region 2 softball is to be taken seriously. At 6-1, the Bravettes are looking to challenge Madison-North Hopkins and Christian County for the region title and a trip to the state tourney!
  15. Union County picked up a couple of wins last week against top ranked teams. Union defeated Daviess County 5-2 and then topped South Warren 2-1! The Union County squad is showing others around the state that Region 2 softball is a force to be taken seriously. At 6-1, the Bravettes are looking to challenge Madisonville North Hopkins and Christian County this year for the regional title.
  16. All the players mentioned are certainly well deserving! However, my vote goes to Mallory Peyton of Madisonvile North Hopkins! Not only did she PITCH her team to a victory against the top ranked team in the state, McCracken County, last week, BUT she also came through with the walk-off game winning hit in the bottom of the 7th inning! Is there a better offensive or defensive, player who also pitches as well anywhere in Kentucky! I certainly can't think of a player who has all the tools this kid does! UK and Coach Lawson have to be THRILLED with locking up this talented young lady!
  17. I would have picked same order! Especially since Webster will be getting point guard back in the lineup. I think that Henderson and Christian will be right there as well!
  18. Webster county v Hopkins Central today Region 2
  19. Great talent but I agree! I'm going with silent protest
  20. What about J.Davis from Hoptown? Think it it was because of the transfer?
