  1. No doubt Louisville should have hired the council and advisors that Roy and Carolina used. Roy Williams, all the way back to Kansas, is untouchable as far as the NCAA is concerned.
  2. A mini upset tonight in the 6th, I like Union over Webster in a tight game.
  3. Tell Matt that's true but no death penalty, only UK and SMU share that. Matt such a nice guy.
  4. Hasn't he had some off court issues? I remember a situation when Ole Miss was visiting Cincinnati a few years back involving a taxi driver or something.
  5. WKU wins 77-69, on top of conference at 6-0 with Middle Tenn coming to Diddle Saturday night - should be a good one, I like the Tops at home.
  6. Back in the day, Walters hung out some at the Elks in Jeffersonville, played a little golf and booked a little. Couple of years brought in a couple of ringers at the JEFF Open. Very interesting character, very smart when it came to gambling and finance.
  7. Two very impressive road wins in the ACC, dogs in both - helps the NCAA resume
  8. Great win, Cards looking pretty good except for offensive rebounding. Two great road wins in the ACC, dogs in both victories
  9. The main reason I would have gone to the OT is Fitzgerald was coaching the other side.
  10. First dream job was WKU - This will be his final stop if he's successful - I like him, ole Harbaugh connections
  11. No doubt Stoops has improved the product at U.K. but to me he has that deer in the headlights look too much on the sidelines.
  12. This situation will be very interesting in the coming months when all involved start making deals and pleas to stay out of prison. I think we will see that the shoe companies have been paying players in one way or another for quite some time. It's interesting to me that it was reported that Nike had upped the ante to the Bowen family and then Adidas had to counter offer. It was assumed that Bowen would sign with Michigan State, a Nike school. When he signed with Louisville, it was reported that the Spartan coaching staff was very surprised. I sure there were.
  13. Yes you missed something, Jones head butted him before the push
  14. I would think the IRS would be a non issue as long as the parents report the money on their 2017 return filed by 4-15-2018.
  15. . From what I have read Louisville has not paid any money whatsoever, Adidas paid the money. Maybe that program that had him locked up was the Nike program that the stool was talking about when he said Nike had made a better offer and Adidas had to come up with more money. As Jay Bilas said, the shoe companies have been buying players and influence for ages. The system is corrupt.
  16. No doubt they were waiting for the best deal.
  17. Nathan Isenberg - Interview him, listen to the tape, consult the Super to get all the details, inquire why she stated she made a hasty decision and then make a decision to enhance the OC baseball program. He will fit right in with the strong discipline the other coaches at OC exhibit. He knows baseball, knows how to prepare players to the next level. There is no better candidate available. If after listening to he tape and talking to the Super and Coach Isenberg and you are not impressed, by all means look elsewhere.
  18. Didn't play the game but had Cards -37
  19. If I'm David Blanford, I know who I would be calling ASAP.
  20. This is a weak hire. I don't like it but I understand it. He was the best of those who applied and would accept. He steps into a very good situation. This is a veteran team and he should advance to his first regional as a coach. With that said, the parents that run with the Super are also a veteran group and if he is kowtowing to them, they will eat him alive. I'm sure he has been schooled in this regard as he and Isenberg are good friends and it is rumored that Isenberg talked to him about applying. The end result of this debacle is the small group of parents succeeded in getting Isenberg fired as they set out to do but what does that say for the school system and the kids involved. I wish Coach Hines the best of luck.
