The season will be defined by the three games in October, Vandy and Miss State at home and Missouri on the road - have to win all three to go to a bowl - lose the first two which is a possibility and the talk goes to basketball - Stoops may not be a great coach but his Agent is a genius, how in the world can a program agree to a contract that will pay a inexperienced head coach 12 million if he is fired after 4 seasons and does not have an offset clause, Stoops could take the money and coach somewhere else next season and keep the entire 12. The die yards say at 12-24 after 3 years and no Cards victory that Stoops is on the hot seat. I'm no expert but I would say that Coach Stoops with his contract is in the driver's seat instead of the hot seat. He's got very good people around him, especially his Agent.

I'm just an ole country boy but I would say it's bad for Christian, Union plays another day maybe two more days and maybe even longer, Who Knows? As far as Caldwell, well sure they are the favorites as of now but don't write them in just yet. Isenberg is a savvy coach, king of the small ball and will pitch his ace tonight. I would not be surprised if Hendo pulls the upset.

Not sure that big of an upset, Shelton pitched his ace, he knew it would be a tight game Union won 20 games this year and Coach Robison has won 2 titles in the past 5 years. Jacob Tapp, winning pitcher tonight one of the best in the region, Bo Robison best fielding center fielder in the region and maybe best in the state made 2 outstanding catches tonight, Trey Hutchinson one of best sophomores in the state and several seniors who all contributed tonight. Maybe a mild upset but according to two coaches I talked to tonight, really not that surprising, it's baseball.

If Ware goes, look for Sebree to do something and maybe the Hollowells from UHA and my josh the jockeying for UHA's Tandy started before the season was even over. From the Dana Kirk years to the end of the Calipari years Memphis operated on the whatever it took to win rules. Pastner probably too clean to win at Memphis. With all the booster money and the program wanting to get back to the good ole days, Tubby will have to be careful not to fall into the traps Kirk and Calipari fell into.

Any victory is a good win but Webster one of worse teams in the West. Webster is 2-12 for the year with only wins against Union County who is 5-10 on the season and Fort Campbell which is winless at 0-8.

I wasn't at the game but remember the game very well, book told me I was one of a few who took the points Jumper mentioned Mem St, one of best games I ever saw was Tigers playing the Cards in that same time or maybe little earlier at Freedom Hall, Memphis up 1 with seconds to go and Cards foul Andrea Turner, a 95% free throw shooter, he misses front end of one and one - Billy Thompson gets rebound and just turns and throws to Milt Wagner going down the sideline, Wagner jumps up to take shot and Turner fouls him. I'm setting in third row of second level right behind Cards bench, Wagner goes to line, looks over to Crum and says I got them - made both and Cards win. The old Metro had some great battles between these two.
