Basketball season for 2015/2016 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Henderson County. Remember, please be constructive.

As close to a rebuilding year as you can get at Henderson County. They will be a young team but very talented. They will still be a top 4 team in the region.

They built last year's team around winning the region. Will still have a top 4 team.

You need to adjust that top 4. UHA lost 2 of their top 3 returning players (one to Trigg and one to Christian County). Trigg County is 3rd best team in the region and Henderson 4th. I don't think UHA gets mentioned until you get to 6th best, maybe lower.

UHA also lost their best freshman to Hoptown as well.

I think Henderson will perform better than expected this year. They had a great team last year and averaged 70 points per game. The problem is they lost 61 points per game to graduation. That is a lot of minutes. The role players will have the opportunity to step up big this year and coach Smithhart seems to get the best out of his players. I think Henderson will pull some upsets during the year. Playing at Henderson is a tough venue, and they will host Hopkinsville in early January.

 

We will see how good they really will be on December 11 when they go to Bowling Green. I don't see Henderson being better than Trigg this year. I think they are the 4th or 5th best team in Region 2. They should have no problem winning the 6th District however, although I don't know a whole lot about Union's team this year.

Trigg will not play anyone and gets a lot of wins playing very weak schools. They play to win the 5th district and be happy to get to the region. They need a real upgrade in their schedule.

After last night's drilling by Evansville, there is a good chance Henderson starts the season 0-6. Hopefully they can improve throughout the year, but that did not look good at all.

Not sold on Henderson being a top 4 team in the region. Don't even think they win their district. Webster Co. brings back a lot more players with in game expirence than Henderson Co.

Agree with Cols 51, Webster might end up best in the 6th. Hendo has a way to go after that 78-35 massacre at Harrison. Lot will depend on the Calloway kid and he's suspended for the first 6 games. Anyway as far as the region, as usual the 2nd belongs to the 8th district
