Summer College Camp Reports - Football
I'm sure though at T, coaches come through there by the dozen during the spring looking for up and coming prospects etc. Smaller schools, or a big talent at smaller/county school doesn't usually get that opportunity.

Nicholas County Summer Basketball League
Isn't Nicholas Co. looking for a coach? or have they hired already?

Class of 2015 Rankings-PrepHoopsKy
How do you even rank 220 players? I'd say after about 25 it's nothing but a crapshoot

Lafayette 2015
That was my point, I believe Band Regionals and state are also around that time. The majority of their football crowd is band parents, and all leave after halftime, when they do perform at games.

Lafayette 2015
I believe you classify their fans as "I went to a Lafayette Band performance and a football game broke out "

Mason County girls Coach Piper Lyndsey
Wasn't there "character issues" at Harrison County?

Tyrion Fox 2017 RB/LB
Very nice player, Transfer? Its not like he plays for some po dunk school, I'm sure Buchanan never held him back talent wise. Doesn't look overly fast. Think he would look better playing end.

Mason County Job Open
I think this will be an interesting hire, for the sake of Football and Basketball. As Chief Smoke said, Wells and O'Hearn were very pro football. Would a Coach like Hinson be understanding?

Johnny Poynter to Bath County
Poynter seems to excel at Jobs like these, has a favorable district, but opposing playoff district is tough(well mainly Belfry)

Is that sarcasm?

Scott Eagles Jerry Berling
Looks like a common high school linebacker imo, that's not meant to be dig on him, just nothing that left you in awe.

Who are the strongest Football players in the state???
First and foremost I hate Crossfit, but you can't put a definition on what "strong" truly is. You can't just strap a 45lb plate to his body and tell him to do pull ups and think that compares. As you said he gained 45lbs over the course of a year, the body learned to carry the weight over time, not all at once. Give me a kid who can Bench Press 200lbs and can rep 10 pull ups, then a kid who can bench 250lbs and does none.

I don't think numbers directly correlate with how strong a person is. If you're a lineman with a big chest and short arms, it's going to be a lot easier for him to bench higher numbers. Whats a big bench press if you can't do a pull up?

Mercer County available; Chris Pardue steps down
Didn't he say in a prior thread his son was attending Centre in the fall? I'd say Mercer also has a little more attainable district/Region.

Drew Trimble - '15 Forward, Lexington Christian - Recruiting
Nice player, better change "University of Navy" before you upset some people

Low attendance?
The Finals of 2013 also had Dominque Hawkins on the verge of getting a UK offer that year, and Ballard had Quentin Snider. Heavy Star Power.

Anyone know what Rupp Arena costs to rent? As said many have said before, it's turned into the almighty dollar. I feel like there was always an Aura in the air with the Championship on Saturday night. 2pm on a Sunday just doesn't do it for me. Then they took away the hard copy programs a few years ago, which I always enjoyed. As for this year there just wasn't a lot of Star Power or "Special" teams in the field this year. The bottom bracket was loaded hence the Thursday afternoon session being the best attended. A couple games the reffing was just atrocious. Biggest Difference Owensboro played Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun Bowling Green played Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun It's 6 hours round trip drive for the casual Owensboro fan . I believe it's a bit more enticing and cheaper to see 3 games on Fri/Sat then 3 games on Fri/Sat/Sun.

Boyle County/Ballard (Sweet 16 Quarterfinals) Updates
This is one of the worst officiated state tourneys I've seen(and I'm not even including last nights KCC/CC game)
-
Calloway County 73 Knott County Central 68 2 OT (Sweet 16 First Round)
Unbiased opinion and some thoughts The refs were terrible, the tall one must of had a grudge on KCC. Some though would say there was a no call on the CC player at the end of the first OT. Maybe someone can correct me but Evan Hall had maybe 4 or so points? going into the 4th quarter. No one else stepped up on KCC it felt like. Cam Justice I thought had some costly turnovers too, late into the game. Calloway also hit a big 3 with 30secs left in the 4th to tie it. If Justice is in a the end 2nd OT they win, I thought Justice DID push off pretty hard on the foul, but the wrong ref made the call. KCC had 3-4 pretty good shots to win the game in 2nd OT and didn't connect and that was the game in a nutshell for KCC.

This is from an "NFL" Neurosurgeon...

Mason County 2015 Schedule
With his son graduating, I could see that move. I think Buchanan would knock it out of the park, obvious strong connections, always seems involved with the community, I'd say he's done pretty well for himself at a "basketball school".

Bellevue posts opening for Head Football Coach
From KHSAA- 02-04 Pike Co Cent 3 Years 05-08 Trimble Co. 4 Years 09-11 Bourbon Co. 3 Years 12-14 Bellevue(1 year as asst.) 3 Years Looks like he left most those programs better than he found them, but in a earlier thread someone said he drove 3 hours round trip a day, hard to get ingrained in a community doing that.
