Went to a West Virginia vs Virginia Tech game a while ago with a friend. Lots of hunting gear being worn in the stands. I told him that I didn't know West Virginia's team colors were camo!

As much as I would like to see Cov Cath win, I think JC wins easily because of the injuries. If the Wagner(s) and Dressman play it could be close.

Has anyone really looked at the enrollment numbers and how a football team has performed? Based on enrollment, New Cath has been in the bottom 10 of 2A schools but has been in 5 of the 7 state title games yet East Ridge is one of the biggest 2A school and they have only won about 25% of the games since 2002. In 1A, Bracken County is one of the largest school but has serious issues fielding a team. If we base is solely on numbers, Pendleton County with 414 boys should easily handle Dayton with 98 boys. That is not happening so there are other issues that can't be corrected with classification. As the saying goes, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, the size of the fight in the dog! These schools need to develop (copy) a plan to be successful and go with that plan. In my opinion, some of these teams are just rolling the balls out and letting them play.

From what I can tell the schools were integrated in 1963 so 2 were before and 2 were after.

So if I count correctly, 65 teams have won at least 1 championship. Some of those schools don't exist today.

I think that 2 teams that took the worst beating in round one should play each other. The winner gets to feel better about ending the season on a win and the loser gets to be the Biggest Loser!

Some teams in 2A didn't make the playoffs and CAL got a bye!

Like I said, we see these types of threads for all areas of the state so I don't know why you are singling NKY out. Those folks are creating a thread which they have reasonable knowledge of and generating discussion. It would be silly of me to try and tout a specific QB as best in the state when I haven't seen any of the other top players play.

Same team only beat 14-7 a few weeks earlier!

If you are talking player specific groups, I think all areas of the state do it. Not uncommon to have regional all star teams, etc. If you are talking something different, Give us some examples of this?

Is it fair that that 1-10 Bishop Brossart doesn't get to go to the playoffs but 0-10 Bracken does? Brossart beat Bracken during the regular season Okay, I know that they are different classes. What about in 4A? Two 0-10 teams made the playoffs because their districts only have 4 teams. Meanwhile Atherton, Moore, Mercer, Rowan all had wins but did not make the playoffs because they are in 5 or 6 team districts.

I hope the game is as interesting as this thread is getting!

Lloyd seems to give up a lot of points to not so good teams. Honestly, I don't know if they came after the substitutions in run away games or just gave up the points and outscored their opponents. NCC by 3+ touchdowns

technically, #2 Russellville over #1 Holy Cross is an upset also.
