This should be an interesting matchup. Experiences Royals will prevail. Backcourt looks too much for the Rebs but the Rebs have a hot couple of players that can score plus a little size in the mix. I think it'll be interesting for a couple of quarters

Not only this they led on multiple occasions by 7, 9 and 12. They blew it. Heard stat line of 15 missed free throws and like 8 layups that were uncontested. The Saints made 6 more FG than the Cougs. Sounds like the Saints had the right game plan but the boys failed to execute. Good Job Cougars!! You guys are killing it.

Congrats for the Devils! Much talent and athleticism on that squad. Bad games happen every night all over the state, but Holy Cross would lose 7 of 10 competitions against Henry Clay. IMO. Factor quality talent and statistics. Those are available.

High school Bball is never about the parents. It's baffling how ignorant parents are about the true game of basketball. Just the other day I took a game in where a coach was emphasizing production and execution and at halftime parents were at the concessions gripiing about how stupid the coach is for running this or that, I was thinking heck lady they can't beat a lot of teams playing the way your suggesting why not initiate these actions vs opponents you can do that to? Sick of hearing them. They need to be silent supporters for their kids and cheer for every child. Some parents do and some do not.

Would there be any question of McQueary on the chopping block after this season? I see Boone Co. Losing some 50/50 games that they shouldn't. There stat lines show lack of scorers. Can anyone attest to their basketball players abilities? They've had much success with him over the last 10 seasons, what would be the reason for their down year! Is the 9th that much better and timing is everything? Numbers coming out for Bball? Talent level down? McQueary more than likely knows how to coach having that much time at Boone. I'm wondering if basketball commitment has taken a backseat to other extraneous circumstances ei. Football/transfers/personal issues? Doesn't seem like the Boone Co program from the past. Every coach/team is entitled to a horrible season, but 0 for 9 seems a little uncharacteristic even if their schedule of opponents early is tough. I'm praying for a strong closing for the Rebels. Just didn't know if anyone knew more.....

Expected win for seasoned Elliott County ball club. No Bracken beats Elliott.

17 points and 10 boards for the Frey kid (Saints) per radio. He's red hot and playing hard. They've got to score more than 50-55 a game to win this season. Heard Saints dropped a 9 points lead with 5 consecutive turnovers to which Beechwood capitalized and never looked back. 13 point turnaround. All within last 3 minutes of the half. Hats off to Coach geotz and the Tigers. They shot well tonight from the arc as well. The saints are either not very good or they aren't listening. Their staff is solid.

Mercer County is solid. They will find a better opponent on some night, but right now they are sizzlin'. 3rd region has about 4-5 favorites. That region is WIDE open. Daviess Co, Meade, BreckCo, and Muhlenburg could all beat each other by 1-25 points with as much as that region plays up and down. The hotter of the teams will pull out. I'm calling BreckCo. Basically the credit goes to Mercer for dominating. They are playing some of the best competition around. this is a team to continue to build here with freshman and sophomores that need experience so they can have continued success and further depth moving towards post season play. Scheduling the #1's and 2's in every region or in other states is unintelligent for programs trying to grow. They'll meet their match at least once or twice this season.

Heard the Frey kid had a double/double 22/12, makes 2 games in a row. He needs to get the ball frequently, second half he was either taken out of the game by his coach or his teammates completely forgot him. Complete different team in the second half from the radio. Not sure where the Swolsky kid was tonight, certainly played well against Latin and Francis, gotta be able to put up numbers against formidable opponents to harness respect. The little guard(brauner or barer?) they have hasn't asserted himself offensively yet in the scoring lines. All I can say is as good as they are defensively (according to word on the street), they had better hold teams in the 40s if they are gonna win ball games this year. Must be in a funk, they played a respectable bourbon team and had them but couldn't put the ball in the basket late. Now they have Breckinridge County......yikes and a long list of competitive teams to push their buttons the latter part of December on.... Stanley was held to 5 points from Williamstown and a slew of threes in the 3rd (15 points worth) may have been the difference Lots of unforced turnovers by St. Patrick travel calls, double dribbles..... makes for a long season Congrats to Will-Town and Coach Hardy for winning at home. Big night from Parsons with 16 total.....

Bourbon played a horrible game. I counted 11 unforced (unforced thrown away/double dribbles/traveling) turnovers and several missed layup and free throws that didn't go down for them. I think Bourbon forgot to show up last night. Thomas however really impressed me. This team will click and beat a lot of teams this winter. I felt like Orcutt got no calls tonight and certainly worked extremely hard and smart within the rules of the game to not catch a break. Mason really didn't impress me with the exception of Williams and Sweeney.... He (Williams) looks super tough and plays with a lot of poise. Mason will struggle without Williams. He'd better stay in the games or they will struggle without him. Sweeney plays well for his size (inside/out) player that plays with a lot of poise as well. Williams meaning the Point Guard not the big. I think Darren Williams can really develop for them over this season, but I notice a lot of fouling by Mason County and tugging and pulling. This will take them out of some games this season. What I like about Mason County is they have good defense, and they have some guys they can throw in to rest up (depth). their bigs can pop outside and hit the 3 ball and those guys can bang a little. The team looked good on the glass last night. Mason will be in the fight for the district title this season. The officiating was pretty weak at this game considering the crew out there. I didn't see any action to mitigate rough play down low with regard to displacement of blocking out or even on defense... I am curious as to why those other boys are out? they had kids in street clothes that look like they could be good athletes. Any information on this situation?

On a serious note the kid can play. Those boys from are true competitors and can flat out play together. They are extremely well coached and are a Cats Pause number 2 in their region. Actually surprised that they lost against Walton Verona. Buckhorn has a couple of guys that they really rely on for perimeter scoring, it looks like they had an off night... 3 for 8(37%) from Hoskins is an off night. This kid can fill it up, and they have another one that can get it done as well. I would say the length and size of the player from Walton gave them some fits.

This seems like a lopsided affair for both teams really..... was there expectations that Carroll score this way? Was this a typical Will-Town team (live and die by the three) I know they are much improved and I wasn't sure Carroll county would score this strongly with a new coach at the helm

This should be a great start for the Camels. Will see if the Breds can guard a big....They looked pretty convincing over a supposed scrappy St. Patrick team, should prove to be a gritty game for AHS and BoCO. Blackburn is a stud so long he keeps his school. Maddox firing threes, Pressure defense... Any information on Huck Turner? Previous coach, player, contributor? Looks like a nice tribute with the competition at the event.

Goodin is a good fit for Xavier. Coach Mack knows the game and gets a lot out of his players. He is going into a solid program where he can impact significantly over the next couple of years. I would like to see him earn a Sweet 16 title now.

with the exception of Murray and Calloway County the rest of the first region field was fairly down. Tillman struggled against 1 region comp. I like that he accomplished a lot last season but the season prior to that boasted only 4 wins. That was a solid turnaround a season later...... Hopefully he can manage those bluejackets and make them more competitive.

Well that's an interesting move for the kid. It's pretty interesting to see this kind of movement out of this team. I was looking forward to watching Pig carry the load for the Royals. I hope he decides to stay.
