Perry County is shaped like Florida, with a panhandle section. Hazard and PCC are located in the south central section, and Buckhorn is located in the panhandle section to the northwest, with a long, winding, and hilly road to the county seat in Hazard. That's probably why the school hasn't consolidated with PCC. Actually, Cordia High in Knott County is much closer to PCC and Hazard High than Buckhorn.

On a serious note the kid can play. Those boys from are true competitors and can flat out play together. They are extremely well coached and are a Cats Pause number 2 in their region. Actually surprised that they lost against Walton Verona. Buckhorn has a couple of guys that they really rely on for perimeter scoring, it looks like they had an off night... 3 for 8(37%) from Hoskins is an off night. This kid can fill it up, and they have another one that can get it done as well.

Actually it was the opposite. I'm not certain of his name but Buckhorn was running up and down the floor from the beginning of the game and he was off his game. He wasn't really a factor.

 

It was a good game to watch. Both teams are well coached and it was fun to watch. WV got a little frustrated by some foul calls they didn't agree with but I didn't think were poor. Sullivan for WV had a couple key steals and layups. I think it was Kinmon that hit some big 3's for WV when they were having trouble scoring.
