Michael Mayer gets 3 year $45 million extension. ESPN just reported that CovCath grad Michael Mayer just received a 3 year $45 million extension of which $30 million is guaranteed. He will be starting for the Raiders tomorrow and will be counted on heavily with Brock Bowers out for multiple weeks. Fantastic!

What you said is how the Saturday LexHerald reported it. First unsportsmanlike was for unspecified (?) action on the sideline. 2nd was for his reaction when an official ordered him off the field for one play because his mouthpiece was out. Hmmmmm?

Based on BW's 1st two games, maybe SK should consider kicking the opening kickoff out of bounds? Playing D from the 35 a little better than Indian Hill and Dixie experienced.

Not totally familiar with this rivalry (maybe Camels view) that Highlands sees as a non-threatening tuneup. But the really old Camels still talk about 1963- CAMELS 7....BIRDS 6.

Better get Plan B operating effectively considering even Lamar Jackson in college and pros misses a lot of game time. Armstrong's style combined with a heavy workload exposes him. Don't need running clock experience.

Got to say, BW looked awfully strong Friday in their shutout of Indian Hill. All facets of their game looked very solid and without injury Coach Rash appears to have a team equipped for the November deep run. Pre-season is just time to focus on specific aspects, however the pre-season loss to Somerset might give a little concern (was not there and have not heard any discussion on here).

The wife and I celebrated our 58th anniversary spending the weekend at Shaker Village. Drove over thru Harrodsburg and had to go by the new school. So impressive with all the facilities. Obvious where the new football field is under construction. Curious as to where the Titans are playing their home games this year? The old Alvis Johnson field looks great, but no game ready lining made me guess maybe not there.

Glicod announcer Chris Wolfe (Highlands grad and longtime Male coach) could not have been any higher on sophomore QB Armstrong’s athleticism, arms and legs. After 1st drive he felt he was the real deal. He reminded me so much of Lamar Jackson’s early games at UL……lots of turnovers, but potential out the whazoo. Armstrong is going to be special, but his 3 turnovers were definitely the difference last night. Lorenzen’s turnover was not a fumble, but rather a great steal by FD.
