The Beechwood Tigers will host the Dixie Heights Colonels at the Edgar McNab Sports Complex Friday night, game time 7:30. Beechwood was impressive in their season opening win over Indian Hill, cruising to a 42-0 win with a first half running clock. Dixie Heights is off to a rough start coming into this game 0-2 losing both games by a score of 42-13.

The Colonels hung with Simon Kenton in their opener until Simon Kenton scored a late first half TD and then pulled away from there. Against Hamilton (OH) Badin in game 2, the Colonels fell behind 21-0 and Badin was in control the whole way, leading 35-6 at halftime. That does not bode well for Dixie Heights as they try to break Beechwood's 5 game win streak over the Colonels.

In Beechwood's opening win, Nathan Pabst returned the game opening kickoff 99 yards for a TD and the Tigers never looked back. It was a running clock before halftime as Beechwood dominated Indian Hill, who was a state semifinalist last season. Pabst scored 3 times in the win. Standout WR Tyler Fryman added 2 scores and TE Bo Sowder also caught a TD pass. D1 QB Emmett Queen threw 2 TD passes, one being a beautiful 55 yard strike to Fryman. The Beechwood defense was dominating all night. Indian Hill failed to get a first down on 4 of their 6 possessions in the game. DE Kingston Brockett wrecked havoc on Indian Hill all night.

It feels like I'm taking crazy pills. But after watching the speed and physicality Beechwood showed last night. I'm predicting back-to-back shut outs.

Love having these streams, awesome production! It's great that they sync the play-by-play with the internet radio guys.

The Radio team does an amazing job and really understands the game/players. And they always remain respectful to the kids and their opponents (while obviously and understandably being Beechwood Biased). Best in the business.

I watch parts of 15 to 20 streams a week. There are many different types of streams, most of which are either solid or excellent. Third parties, Independents, the NFHS, Radio Stations, TV Stations, paid, total school run, and Facebook Live Lone Wolves, etc. Beechwood is an example of a school working with some motivated and talented adults (a lot like our good friends at Red Helmet Sports) and they have pretty much nailed it. To your point, Beechwood does an excellent job broadcasting their home football games and I know many alumni and super fans (all of us) are very thankful.

Some great games in here. 2023 vs Dixie is one of the most exciting regular season game this century for Beechwood. Up there with 2010 Double OT thriller vs NCC and the 1st ever night game at CCH in 2007 which I call, "The Robbery in Park Hills".

Always fun to play against Dixie, lot of kids on both sides have played with or against each other their whole lives! Good luck to both teams tomorrow!!

To my surprise, Dixie actually leads the all-time series with Beechwood, 13-12. I can't be the only one who assumed the Tigers got the better of the Red Colonels more often than not.

Dixie won the first seven games between the two, leaving Beechwood to play catch-up all these years, which they'll finally accomplish if they win this week.
