Rivalry week!

Lex Cath enters this game 2-0 behind a stingy defense and a potent run game. Schlarman is a load at RB and gets downhill in a hurry. Lex Cath the last couple years has had an elite defense and special teams unit. Running the ball and good defense is always a great recipe for success.

The Rebels enter this one 2-0 after a clock runner against Bryan Station. Seneca Driver finished the game with 2 TD catches and 2 TD runs, a sack, a TFL, and an interception all in one half of play. QB Jhet Raleigh has had two great games on the ground and in the air. Lucas Akers has a defensive TD in both games to open the year.

Lex Cath has had the most success against the Rebels since 2020, notching two wins in Boyle's 6 total losses since 2020. Can they find magic again? Or does Boyle take care of business?

Have to keep picking Boyle until they drop. But there's a lot of history between these two teams!

LexCath's defense could make this interesting. Picking Boyle with zero hesitation, but an upset by the Knights wouldn't surprise me at all. It's happened twice in the last four years.

This was the lone blemish on the Rebels' schedule last year as they lost 17-7 on the road, the Knights just completely stunning them with their defensive effort. As alluded to by others, turning this into another defensive slugfest is Lexington Catholic's best chance at repeating. It's just going to be so much harder to do it at Boyle and without Wasik anchoring that defense still. However, their defensive line is probably improved and one of the best units in the state in my opinion.

Two teams that just don't like each other. Lost some of it's luster when Catholic went down to 3A but still a rivalry. I look for Boyle to be ready and hit the Knights early and leave no doubt who is going to win from the get go.

I'm with everyone else, I'm going Boyle, but if there is a team that can find a way to beat them, it's Lexington Catholic. I didn't think LC had a chance against Boyle last season, and they sure proved me wrong.

I am the same way about "last year" but I think Boyle rolls in this one, probably a running clock.
