Does Belfry have any lineman D1 worthy? I know they did last year.

Not sure Boyle's line can top Belfry, but by far the best size and experience the Rebels have had up front since Chuck 2.0. And the starting 5 have only played one-way to date.

I agree, Casey's opponents so far have a combined 8 wins...and Bell County has 4 of them.

How bout the Casey at Corbin matchup on 10/20? Casey should be undefeated heading into that game. Any chance they win? Would it even be an upset?

Not to mention, Western Hills has yet to beat Lexington Catholic since the re-alignment. So Boyle finishes 3rd?.....or 4th?

In my opinion, Waggener's only flaw is depth. Those 3 guys are all really good, Brent is exceptional. They could be a tough out come playoff time.

In my opinion if Lex Cath loses, Western Hills is legit and Lex Cath (even with the tough non-district schedule) is not the same Lex Cath we have come to expect.

Garrard has only attempted 28 pass attempts all year. If they have not established a passing game by now, against Boyle is certainly not the time to do so. I like Boyle by a lot.

Statement win for Casey

So FD is 4-1. They get blanked by Danville 36-0 in week 0. Since then, FD averages almost 39 points a game, hold opponents to less 13, and wins 4 straight. Now I am the first to say Danville is very good, but what changed for FD to justify the improvement? Anyone?

I think in 3A this year, a one dimensional team (pass or run) style will only get you so far. I also believe the same for one dimensional team (athletic or size) will only get you so far. 3A has enough really good teams that have balance with pass/run and a good mix of athletic/size to go the distance. In my opinion, if you hang your hat on one of these traits, you will not reach the promise land.

Okay it is the rule. In my opinion, any blocker in that position makes that block, that way. I am not sure how you coach a kid any differently than what we see on the video. Basically, in today's world, any contact that 'whoa's' the crowd is illegal contact.

I would be delighted to see a Boyle @ Etown Semi-Final game on Nov. 24th. It would mean Boyle has truly gone 'through the wall' and advanced well beyond a 2nd round playoff loss, a hurdle the Rebels have been unable to do in recent years. However, there is so much football to be played, who knows what happens now till Thanksgiving weekend.
