Crowds for Cooper v Holmes were disappointing yesterday in the Regional Finals. Girls games are definitely different than boys, but no less entertaining, IMO. Cooper had a student section of about 20-(probably the boys team) and Holmes had no student section---sad. Hope area schools show some school pride this week and step up their support.

In response to a few on this thread... HC's trip to regionals was based solely on a good district draw and a little luck in the opening round against Beechwood...nothing more. Last night's game was nothing new, HC coaches failed to make adjustments. If the game plan fails, and players aren't executing-i.e. committing turnovers-you adjust...utilize your bench. Not sure why Niehaus wasn't given the opportunity to run the point? Not sure about many things- Why wasn't ball pushed inside?-opens your outside game-genius! Why don't players roll hard off picks and look for the ball? Why isn't defense a priority? Unfortunately, IMO, much potential squandered this season. Good luck to the Jags as they move forward.

Hats off to all the radio guys who spend countless hours preparing and bringing us high school broadcasts nightly. They create another level of insight and enjoyment for all sports fans. What an invaluable and appreciated asset they are to their respective programs!

Was thinking the same...would be nice to give some credit to the other team...they are likely partially to blame for CCHs "worst outing of the year".

Since, NCC defeated Highlands twice this year...and HC defeated NCC twice... but, lost to Highlands & CC in what CC seem to be labeling as a "called off the dogs" match...and CC beat Highlands 1-0 earlier in the season... Then, using the above games as reference, the prediction is CC by anywhere from 1-10. Truthfully, these regional matches could be anybody's game on any given night...lets see what teams come to play. In response to CooperSportsFan (sorry didn't attach) The fouls were lopsided in the other direction in the 1st half Barnes and Bezold had 5 betwn then in the first 4 minutes of the game. HC out defended Cooper in the 2nd half---didn't hang their heads and got themselves right back in the game after being down by 11 at half. Great win for the Indians!!
