Final from the first round of the ALL A (state championship) :ohbrother:

Nice win for the Lady Indians!

Very strong

Dave Cantrell had Danville rated as the 23rd best team in state (and Holy Cross @12th I think?) Beating them by 35 is a tremendous showing.

YIKES!!!!!

Holy Cross came out a little slow in the first quarter but still let 13-8 after 1 quarter. The size of the Indians and defense really started to bother the perimeter oriented Lady Admirals as the game went on. Danville could not get anything and I mean anything in the paint today. Everything was contested.

HC led by 12 at half but outscored Danville 43-20 in 2nd half. HC out rebounded Danville 44-27. The Indians really played a team game and passed the ball extremely well today. They will next play on Friday at 10 am against the winner of the Sayre/Clinton Co game.

HC Scoring:

Deja Turner 19 pts 5 reb's

Dajah McClendon 10 pts 4 asst's

Abby Hassert 10 pts 7 reb's

Aleah Tucker 8 pts

Ally Mayhaus 7 pts, 7 reb's

Cessie Mayhaus 6 pts 5 reb's

Courtney Turner 6 pts

Morgan Gabbard 4 pts

Danville Scoring:

Alyvia Walker 14 pts 5 reb's

Cameron McPherson 13 pts on 4-18 from the field (very nice player just had a hard time finding open looks).

NeNe Chanault 3 pts 10 reb's

Danville was held to 17% from the field (8-46) and 24% from 3 (5-21).

HC shot 52% from the field (28-54) and 29% from 3 (2-7).

Indeed...points in the paint...

HC-50pts

Danville-4pts

Nice win Lady Indians!
