  1. Is the basketball coach not allowing them to come out after the Kentucky football experience?
  2. Northern's 7th grade team has players who are older than high school sophomores? That's a laughable and ignorant statement. You're right, holding back is not a bad thing. Kids hold back at most schools. Holding back is no more of an advantage as private schools allowing enrollment by anyone outside of district.
  3. The problem with the championships is that region 4 is LOADED with a capital L. The alignment causes all the top teams to battle to come out of one region. The best 7th grade teams I saw this year were Northern, Corbin, Meece, Whitley, and I would probably count Johnson and Knox. I would put a lot on the line that the BG's, CAL's, Crosby's wouldn't come within 2-3 scores of those teams. I'm not taking anything away from CAL. They're a good team. We had our worst officiated games at home this year believe it or not, so I'm used to all that fun stuff. Good calls or bad calls, the kids have to be taught to keep their composure and from what I heard about that situation with BG, they didn't.
  4. The good part is 3 or 4 of Northern starters are 6th graders. I've seen much bigger teams in the past. The hardest hitter for Northern (#94) was the shortest kid on the field. Size really didn't have an effect on the game outside of the intimidation factor. PCYFL program is second to none. That's where it starts.
  5. I disagree with you here. The KHSAA is working with and implementing rules into the KYMSFA. I may be totally wrong, but I see that bond getting tighter with time. There is a very big difference in the KYMSFA state tournament and the Salt River tournament. Competition is much stiffer. The best of the best. I'm not knocking Boyle, they're a very good football team. With that said, I would say at least 10 teams in the KYMSFA tournament could go undefeated with their schedule.
  6. No. You gave the win-loss record from the list of teams Pulaski has beaten (inaccurately by the way). You did not give the win-loss record for the teams Highlands has beaten. Pulaski's 12-30 Highlands 1-13 Both are bad statistics, but Highlands is worse.
  7. "Older 8th grader." What does that even mean? If you're legal and within the rules, what's the problem? Maybe some of these folks should plan years in advance and have their children as close to the August 1st deadline as possible.
  8. Highlands wins cumulative win-loss record is 1-13...just for kicks. Highlands hasn't came close to anyone with substance this year to be honest.
  9. Got a text earlier saying Coach Stoops and UK assistants were at this game. Guys on the radio just confirmed.
  10. 36-0 PC almost halftime. Hines making a statement looks like.
  11. Well if I had my pick, dad would probably be a better contact anyway. Anyone have an email or # for him?
  12. Let me rephrase that then. Who coaches the Huddleston kid from Highlands?
  13. Can someone from the NKY area private message me contact information (phone or email) for the Highlands middle school head football coach?
  14. You should just admit that you didn't see the Scott County / Pulaski game. That was a 1 score game late in the 4th. To add to that, BG's remaining schedule is no better than Pulaski's.
  15. We can talk about who has the better win. That obviously goes to BG because Owensboro is better than Jeffersonville. With that said, they also hold the worse loss between the two. Scott County would beat X by 2-3 scores minimum right now IMO.
  16. The Bowling Green / Owensboro game will be telling for this class. I expect BG to win, but wouldn't be surprised with an Owensboro upset. Rankings could shake up in the top 3 this week. Pulaski has it's 2nd "Open" week this week. JV will play 2nd half. I don't see Pulaski moving out of the 2 spot regardless. Although I think PC should be #1 at the moment, BG will remain with a win and Owensboro will jump with a win.
  17. What's the schedule look like so far?
  18. I'm an outsider to the NKY folks. Who does Huddleston play for?
  19. Predictions assuming all players play? I know Southern has had some plagued by injury here lately.
  20. A lot of good players mentioned. I've had the chance to see most of them play. Good kids.
  21. About what I expected. Looking forward to seeing how the BG / St. X game turns out. We'll also know more about Highlands after this week. Scott County is a very good football team.
  22. It's South Warren and Johnson Central at the top, then everyone else. 4A is top-heavy. However, I wouldn't sleep on Bourbon in an upset setting. They beat a very good Southwestern team this week.
  23. Just out of curiosity, was Louisville Central the 1 in your 1-4 predicticted start for Knox Central? LOL
  24. Glad to see Somerset in there. They should be 2-0 and top 7 in 2A next week.
  25. 4A is two deep, Johnson Central and South Warren. No offense to the rest of the class, your champion will come from these two teams.
