Steve Stonebraker to Casey County
Wildcat18 replied to PurplePride92's topic in KY Football (High School)
This is kind of where my head was at. My initial comment wasn't necessarily based on Stonebraker and what kind of guy he he is, it was based on what I had seen (or not seen) out of the administration. It's just odd to me that head coaches come back around full circle. Especially a former coach who had similar success as the one that they just let go at Casey. -
I don't think this is a problem. I've seen it happen a couple of times.

I'll accept private messages from either of you. LOL.

Understand that, could label a few different schools under that category. What is the issue there? Administration? Seems by the facilities, they support athletics somewhat...What exactly is the problem there?

What's the latest on Dunbar? They've had 7 different coaches in the past 15 or so years. How hot is this opening?

Steve Stonebraker to Casey County
Wildcat18 replied to PurplePride92's topic in KY Football (High School)
What was that reason? Maybe not THE reason, but I would bet a lot of money they were talking to Stonebraker before Marple was let go. He did just as good at Casey as Stonebraker did his first stint if I'm not mistaken. -
Riley Hall - QB - Pulaski County - Georgetown College Mason Helton - TE/LB - Pulaski County - Lindsey Wilson College

Open Job: Montgomery County
Wildcat18 replied to therealdealholyfield's topic in KY Football (High School)
McPeek is in the mix for every job opening in the state of Kentucky. Some folks act like he is in the drivers seat for most of them. -
Frankfort ending series with Franklin County??

This is becoming a trend across the state looks like. A lot of cross-town rivalries seem to be fading. -
Bell County Looks To Hire Nathan McPeek

I'm too big of a Belfry and Corbin fan to fool with Bell County. -
Bell County Looks To Hire Nathan McPeek

At this point, this thread title should be changed to, "Bell County Looks to Hire Anyone Who Will Take It." -
I'm not too familiar with Adair as I'm not a huge follower of 3A outside of Corbin. What offensive system did they run last year?

Barren County dropping Glasgow
Wildcat18 replied to jessepinkman's topic in KY Football (High School)
There are lots of factors that go into it. Money, kids switching schools, available talent, etc. I know Barren lost a little bit and I have a feeling Glasgow is strengthening based on what I've seen at the middle school level over the last couple years. That could be playing a part in it. -

This just happened in the last year or so between Pulaski, Southwestern, and Somerset as well. Just the thing to do these days I guess. -
This is an interesting opening. Will they hire from within or look outside?

A buddy of mine sent this to me this morning. Thought I'd share as it features some Kentucky high school coaches. Wives/girlfriends often have the toughest job associated with athletics.

Great ball player and even better kid. Nice film. Looking forward to checking in on him in high school.

Although the game of football is a dangerous risk you take, it can also save your life. There are a few guys I still think about from high school to kids I have coached lately, wondering what they're doing right now because they hung up the pads and started running with the wrong crowd.

Bluegrasspreps Boys Ranking 12-14-15
Wildcat18 replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I know zero about actual offers. I know Johnson has been to Purdue and I think has spoken to Navy. He's a step above the rest as far as potential to go D1. He'll end up with a nice list. Not completely sure about the rest. You've probably heard more than myself. -
Pikeville has a strong freshman class coming in as well. Should pair up nicely with the guys they have at the high school right now. I would consider them the clear favorite, even without Pugh. Phelps younger brother will be a freshman at Paintsville. Hard-nosed player. He should see some reps early in his high school career. Coach Chirico is a great coach, he'll put it all together.

The important question we all want to know...Where the heck you making 26 bucks an hour? A "friend" of mine is looking for another job. LOL -

I disagree with that statement. Let's take WKU or EKU for example, D1 schools. You don't think Hall, Johnson, or even Gregory (@ DB) are good enough to crack a spot there? There was a time where I would have put Butt in that category. None of them would sniff a basketball roster at either of those schools in my opinion. Good, just not great for that level.
