Coaches have to have a special kind of woman to help them through their endeavors.

He clearly stated it had nothing to do with the food. He didn't want his player to have to walk around the gym. I have no idea what happened I wasn't there. If you weren't you shouldn't be analyzing what happened.

Congratulations to Jordan, I know that he will miss his players at Manual and Coach Lucas's leadership. However he has assembled a great staff at Waggener and will give those students something to fight for!

I believe they are talking about Engstrand. Which I don't think he has major success.

Every school district in America has online classes, and programs that are strictly online/virtual classes. The most important aspect is giving these students the opportunity to better themselves. All of their graduates are still eligible at the college level. These online programs are researched based programs that have data, that have proven them to be successful. Now all of this does not mean everyone would be successful in this situation, but for these kids, I think it is the best possible situation.

That hire would be a disaster. IMO.

The stat you are referring to is not defensive points allowed as KHSAA keeps only points scored against. Meade had a great defense, so who calls their defense? St. X is called by Bruner, if I am not mistaken. First Year Trinity is called by Jay Cobb. First Year Manual is called by Jordan Johnson. Second Year Male is called by Head Coach-Wolfe. What is scary is the 3 best defenses had newer DC's, I think the numbers are correct but not positive.

Trinity scored 21 the first game, so in two games against Trinity they didn't score 48 points. Trinity scored 14 verses Manual and 7 of those were to start the game on a blocked punt.

Manual played all 6A schools except Central. Manual's defense gave up 84 points in the regular season, the KHSAA stats are total points scored and do not separate for actual points scored against the defense, so I am sure Meade's stats are a little different as well. Nonetheless, St. X and Manual didn't give up more then 30 points to anyone. Meade had a great season, but don't try to make it something it wasn't.

You gave up 48 points to Trinity and 37 to North Hardin, don't think that puts you up against Manual, St. X, or Trinity.

That may be a good adjustment, but that is terrible preparation in the week leading up to the game. It isn't like they came out with new wrinkles, they were running there base offense.

Doing just enough to win does not equate a Great Defensive Coordinator. Defensive Coordinator on the best team yes, best defensive Coordinator in the state, not a chance!

That makes sense. That is also good for Jaggers, that he doesn't have to be in the middle of the school after this mess. Do you know if he gets to keep his extended days or were they tied to the coaching position? That would be sweet for him to get to keep them!

Not sure of names on some of these, however I think the 5 best defenses in the state this year were, CAL-gave up 93 points, Desales-103 points, Bowling Green-113 points, Manual-136 points, and St. X (at the end of the year was much better than early in the year) 169 points. Now clearly there are on different levels as far as schedule strength. I would honestly put Bowling Green and Manual at the top for the reason of how bad their offenses were this year, which put them in numerous bad situations and still produced.

If the Superintendent has "his guy" as some have said on here, and "his guy" wants whatever this cushy job is, I guarantee he gets it. I have no knowledge of any of this situation, but there are many of people making absolute statements on here that just are not truth. You for one just a month or two ago swore that Jaggers wasn't going anywhere, like you had the "good-good" on inside information.

So a Superintendent that didn't want him as a coach and "forced" him out wouldn't force him out of his "cushy" teaching job? Tenure just means that he can't be fired from his teaching position without just cause, they can put him in the cafeteria as a lunch room attendant if they want, they just have to pay him teacher pay.

It doesn't mean they have to keep him in that position, they can move him anywhere they feel he is "needed".

Actually they allowed 86 yards per game according to KHSAA, I do agree their overall schedule strength was stronger. However, in Super District play Manual gave up 106 yards per game, Trinity gave up 110, and ST. X 112. I didn't add Male because their stats reported were much different then what the opposing team reported. Nonetheless, it is tough sledding for the run game in the Super District. Well done to all of the Defensive staffs!

I would disagree, Manual had a very stingy run defense at 71 per game and 2.1 per carry. I believe the coaches in the district saw it the same way, hence the reason Manual 5 of their 7 on the first team, and 1 as honorable mention. Trinity was clearly the better team, they proved it over and over.
