Does this not happen on every sports team in America, better performing players take over starting positions? I am quite sure these young men are enjoying not playing on one of the worst football teams in the state anymore. St X.has 50 players every Friday night that don't step on the field, do we feel sorry for them?

They finished the year last year with 21 kids and lost 7 or 8 probably to graduation, so he basically has crafted a whole new team. Not too many positions were lost. They scored 52 total points last year according to khsaa, so help was needed.

Both were ruled eligible. Coach Johnson has said they have over 10, not sure of the total. However, I know of the ones he has gotten in are program changers.

Incorrect it was 68-14.

All I know is that whoever draws Waggener in the first round is not going to be happy with that match up. I heard that both Harper Brothers from Trinity were ruled eligible to play this week. They are a team that has the potential to beat anyone, I just don't know if they can pull it together fast enough. Will be fun to watch over the next 3 weeks and see what they accomplish heading into the playoffs.

I believe so, don't know much about 3A schools other then Central and Waggener. However, this team has the talent, they just need to come together as a team, they are just now learning how to play football at a high level.

Game was 7 to 6 in 4th. Waggener is a much better team then the team that played Corbin. Waggener threw a pick 6 after having first and goal from 1 yard line that would have put them up late. Waggener will continue to get better each week as this team learns to play together. This team may be one of the biggest turnarounds in the state this year.

Don't think they are eligible yet.

Waggener is in good hands with the E Defensive staff from Manual all there now. Coach Johnson will get players to come play for him. Jairus Brents and Tahj Rice are both at Waggener. Both are sophomores and were starters at Manual before they left. Looking forward to seeing Waggener turn the corner, and hopefully make some noise.
