I heard the young QB from Waggener transferred at the end of the season because they got the Harpers and he didn't think he could win starting QB job.

I am hearing this may have not been all that was going on. Bob and Chris Redmond were contacted weeks ago about the job. I hope he wasn't forced out, administration may have known this was coming. However sounds shady.

2 months into the hiring process is not a quick hire in my book. These weeks in January through March are crucial to the development of a team and implementing new systems. If they don't feel comfortable pulling the trigger on one of the applicants they have interviewed then they don't have the right guy for Montgomery County anyway. Division 1 football doesn't take this long to hire someone.

They are announcing it today I hear.

I believe they waited to announce until Iroquois hired their coach, which they did yesterday. He was afraid it would effect that position, from what I can gather.

These teams are getting behind by taking so long to hire a coach. If I was taking over a program I would be stressed from the get go knowing I am nearly 2 months behind everyone else.

ShaDon is a great young man and coach! Great to see high school coaches making an impact!

I would agree with that, however what I am saying is that he has been a Head Coach at 3 schools in the last 13 months. He has a responsibility to those football "kids" as well, all coaches do. Coaches must weigh all of this into account BEFORE accepting a position, not after and realizing they made the wrong decision. However, sounds like I may be on this side of the fence by myself, which I am alright with.
