NO way now if you don't want to play a championship game then fine but this is high school football and your season should be 10 games. the shame is when so many teams get canceled on. They work just as hard as the varsity kids do and deserve to play a full schedule whether it be the 10th game be a championship game or another regular season game. Trust me the other sports will play plenty of games as well.

Not disagreeing on the SOS at all. But it is not like coaches say hey coach you want to play a game because I think you guys are going to suck this year. You look for opponents you think are good and yes history is part of that tell. A lot of these teams may be down this year but most of it is due to youth it sounds like so maybe these teams will give them a better game, IDK. I do know that they will hit that test the Friday after Thanksgiving and we will see if the SOS is what hurt them or helped them get over the hump.

True but they have beat those teams by large amounts. Now PRP was in the finals last year. Ryle is one of the better 6A programs in NKY, Madison Central is down but is a bigger 6A program in the area. Now Clark Co., North Hardin used to be good but have been down lately. Lafayette has been on the rise for several years. Not saying that this year these teams are not young and don't help anyone's SOS but they have beat them all handedly as they should. I guess people will just have to wait until later in the year to make a determination. But they have put up 401 points of offense in 7 ball games and only gave up just over 100 or so, most I would say were scored against JV since they have won so big. I do know that HC has 2 great running backs so not sure much can be said on the yardage gave up the other night. Just my opinion

From what I know they lost some guys but have some great running backs and the Daniel kid at WR and the Oline is mostly seniors from the rosters. I was just looking at last years numbers and everything on here says can score, also every opponent except North Hardin is a 6A opponent. So I was just looking at numbers.

ALL I know is last year SC beat SK 56-6 and 47-9 for a grand total of 103-15. If it was to happen for them to meet again I think the score would be the same. Weak NKY 6A this year and beside they have to beat Henderson or McCracken for this to happen.

Maybe Mr. Hoover and Thayer should worry about the real issues concerning our state and not so much about Kentucky high school sports. I am sure none of the people they represent voted for them so they could voice their opinions on this type of issue. I for one believe in sportsmanship and would hope the adults in a game could handle the hand shake, but if the game was heated and their was a concern, I see nothing wrong with looking across the field waving and going on to avoid the penalties and such that would follow in event of an altercation might happen. Like someone said above, there is mutual respect among coaches and players in the college and pro's and they only shake hands if they want to. I think this all was started to avoid legalities on who is responsible: officials, coaches, game managers, school administrators. This way the heat is off of the officials and the KHSAA if something occurs. Now I do disagree with the fact that the KHSAA can fine a school when they have taken it out of their hands. Of course just my opinion and I hope that every opponent we play wants to shake hands with us, I enjoy that part of the game win or lose.

If Scott Daniel played in the spread offense, his numbers would be through the roof. He plays in a system that does not throw the ball but when they do it is usually for a TD, looking at the numbers they have put up scoring wise and I would say most of those are in a half of football as well. But that takes nothing away from the athlete and football player Fant is, he is fun to watch.

I know this much, some where you have to teach your players to stop the run, especially if you are playing against 2's and 3's. I mean those kids practice everyday and when they are in deserve and should be expected to play as hard as the ones do. I do not know the details of this game with BG but Logan County has to take the opportunity to compete against the younger squads for BG. Yes BG is the #1 team in the state and should be able to score 63 points in the 1st half against a team giving up 50 + points per game, but it is not BG's problem when their 2's and 3's are scoring at will. That is Logan County's issue and they need to try and compete as best they can against the younger squads period.
