  1. The game with the more intrigue is Central vs Trinity. Both teams are defensive teams but Central has a lot more athleticism and quickness. But they don't have the height to deal with Spalding. Trinity's is bad unless Stafford gets to the middle and finds the open guys. Central can shoot and get to the basket with ease in hopes of getting Spalding to foul. 2 good coaches going at each other but Trinity should win in a close one. For Doss to be a serious contender for the 6th region title, they have to at least make it to the final game of the LIT. I don't see DeSales hurting them tonight. The game for them with be a Saturday morning contest against Manual (who should be East in a good game). If Doss does not make the final LIT game, it is more coaching that talent Or the talent not listening to the coaching.
  2. The donor kids will end up at DeSales or CAL if the don't make the court..
  3. Trying to get Jeffersontown coaches to update statistics for the year. Johnson already has 75 made 3 point attempts (around 43%) and averages 26 points a game.
  4. No doubt that Berry has a big impact at Taylor Count, but Jeremiah Bell has done the same with Boyle County. In my opinion, you could take some other kids from the 6th & 7th region to play for out in the state teams and I believe they would have a big impact ( that is just my opinion). David Sloan played a year in the 6th region, it he would have stayed, he would have been good but not making the noise he is making today. As as 6th region favorite, I would stay with Richard Gains. Sit him out at PRP, PRP become a 50/50 team at best. Doss has so many other players that can do some things, it just going to take a while for them to buy into what new coach is selling.
  5. This numbers are unreal. Doss is no longer a top 20 team. And the 7th region dominates slots 1-3 1.Trinity (11-3) 108.5 2.Ballard (13-2) 102.8 3.Manual (13-2) 100.7 4.Newport Catholic (10-2) 99.7 5.Henderson County (14-2) 97.2 6.Covington Catholic (11-3) 96.6 7.Knott Central (15-1) 96.6 8.Lexington Catholic (10-5) 95.7 9.PRP (12-3) 95.2 10.Hopkinsville (13-3) 95.1 11.Oldham County (13-3) 94.2 12.Scott County (7-8) 94.1 13.Bryan Station (12-4) 94.1 14.Southwestern (13-2) 93.7 15.Mason County (14-1) 93.3 16.Taylor County (14-3) 92.0 17.Lincoln County (12-2) 91.9 18.Henry Clay (11-4) 91.5 19.Lafayette (10-6) 91.2 20.Lexington Christian (11-6) 91.1 Trinity tops Litratings heading into LIT | USA Today High School Sports | USA Today High School Sports
  6. According to the Seth Ranking, Ballard is the clear cut favorite #1 in Louisville. Last year that would have been true, this year not....
  7. Sutton is signed & sealed with North Carolina Asheville....
  8. I believe they would be better off adding some human element to selection & seeding the 20 Louisville teams to play in the LIT. Create a committee of coaches & ADs to create a competitive bracket. They could start with the Lit Rating or Seth rating to select the teams, then have the committee seed the teams. The Seth rating are flawed because they start where you finished last season in the Steh. The Lit rating used does not provide enough data with 1 month of play.
  9. Who kicked off like 6 varsity players? I assume Butler since you picked Western to win. I know Butler has had issues with kids relating to new coach, as they battled all of last year with the issue (Bell & Johnson).

  11. I will take Western... Why is Johnson done for the year with Butler?
  12. You obviously have no clue about basketball in KY that is worth a response..
  13. Yes.. Had 6 plus games with 30+. Would get more press if playing on a decent team. Got 35 against a good Doss team with double teams.
  14. Anticipation at it best. Never call what they see but always quick with the whistle on what might happen.
  15. I am a point off somewhere... I should be a point game. Doss had 4 technical foul free-throws and 2 free throws after Jtown fouled trying to prolong game.
  16. Very good game to the end, Jeffersontown needed a 3 to tie before a walk was called, the 2 technical fouls was called and Doss finished the game with 6 free-throw. Brandon Johnson finished with 35 for Jeffersontown, Terrell Gray finished with 24 for Doss.
  17. Lucky PRP got to play tonight, a lot of Jefferson County games was cancelled because of weather. But prp has some players & good coaching.
  18. Brandon Johnson from Jeffersontown. Plays on a bad team but still does his game even when face guarded & double teamed.
  19. This should be some great games.
  20. Fern Creek by 6. Not sure Bullitt East can play wit pressure without a mature point guard although Creek has a lot of youth.
  21. Also Johnson was good at finding the open man when they sent 2 guys after him. The 4 qtr Jtown got away from going through Johnson & started being selfish and having unforced turnovers. Very athletic guys but not fundamentally sound to wrap up games. Beating North would have been unexpected but a much needed win for Jtown.
  22. Refs not calling fouls on correct happens a lot in the 6th/7th region. It has happened in 2 games with a Jtown with #11 & #23. Fortunately able to correct calls with another ref because the table questioned the foul #. I believe the foul mixup happened near the end of the 3rd qtr.
  23. No offers but several D2 are looking. Centre (D3) is who is after him the hardest. Transylvania & Centre where there tonight to push their agenda for his services.
  24. Refs makes calls on not what they see but the action on the player. No way that called should have been made. But on the flip note, Jtown should not have been in that situation. They should have been smarter in certain situations to wrap the game up. Jonathan Henry played a heck of a game. Brandon Johnson played great as well..
  25. Broadbent Arena is a horrible place for a basketball game. The place smells horrible. It is only good for Rodeos & Motocross games..
