After trailing by 16 at the end of 3, the Mustangs battle back and hit a last second 3 point shot for the 75-72 win leaving J-Town stunned as they lead by double digits much of the game.

Tie game , J-Town ball. Offensive foul called on Brandon Johnson off the ball. Watched the replay. Tough call. Looked like a flop to me more than a push. JTown coach lost his mind over it. NO then hits a 3 at the buzzer.

Refs makes calls on not what they see but the action on the player. No way that called should have been made. But on the flip note, Jtown should not have been in that situation. They should have been smarter in certain situations to wrap the game up. Jonathan Henry played a heck of a game. Brandon Johnson played great as well..

Agreed on JTown being their own worst enemy. The young coach let them play a little too much late. Needed to get them to be smarter and remember they were in control.

Most exciting game I've called this season YTD. North with 39 points total after three quarters - 36 points in the fourth quarter alone. Jonathan Henry with 24 points in the second half; 35 for the game. Sophomore Zach Wheeler off the bench hit four three pointers - including 3 for 3 beyond the arc in the final period. North Oldham 6 of 8 beyond the arc in the final frame. Sophomore Jalen Henry - Jonathan's brother - with 11 points and 10 rebounds. North outrebounded taller Jtown team by 8, according to our unofficial rebounding stats.

 

Officiating was atrocious. These weren't bad refs; just a night with a lot of bad calls. Worst call was when they assessed a personal foul on Jalen's brother, Henry, after the foul was committed by Jalen.

 

Brandon Johnson for Jtown is a beast, pure and simple. Scored whenever and however he wanted. Good mobility, great shot, and good basketball body - muscular, 6'4" - either overpowered smaller guards with drives to hoop or shot over them.

Where on the video was the foul mixup?

Refs not calling fouls on correct happens a lot in the 6th/7th region. It has happened in 2 games with a Jtown with #11 & #23. Fortunately able to correct calls with another ref because the table questioned the foul #.

 

I believe the foul mixup happened near the end of the 3rd qtr.

Also Johnson was good at finding the open man when they sent 2 guys after him. The 4 qtr Jtown got away from going through Johnson & started being selfish and having unforced turnovers. Very athletic guys but not fundamentally sound to wrap up games. Beating North would have been unexpected but a much needed win for Jtown.
