Purples are limping into the Thursday night game but should be able to rest some of those players. I know this is the time of year where everyone has some bumps and bruises. It really is not just personal preference. It is just how our society rolls. This would have never even been a consideration 20 years ago; not an option back in the day. I know, and am fully aware that the world we grew up in no longer exists. Although that is a true statement doesn't mean we have to like it.

I know that I will be in the minority but for the life of me I cannot figure out why any of the State Finals would occur on a Sunday. Some think I am just being old school but it is just not right. I don't care of the reasoning (excuse) that people give. I know we have 6 classes; truthfully, if we had 10 classes or 2 classes - don't play the game on a Sunday! People like me (and again, I know I am in minority) are avid Bluegrass Prep football fanatics and to watch the games all throughout the season and not have the chance to go to the most important game.... Regardless of the team(s) that make it to the final - whoever plays on Sunday will have a good amount of their fans that simply cannot make the game. People can slice and dice it all they want, but it is just not right

If it was a Mr. Football voter - we won’t find out till July of 2019.

Vito Tisdale received word today that he has been selected to play on the US Army All American Bowl in January of 2020. Vito has been invited since his middle school years to participate in the underclassmen activities (games, combines...) and now has been awarded for his efforts to play in the Big Daddy! The letter came to the top 90 players in America (for the class of 2020) today. In addition to this great honor, Vito has also been asked to be one of the Captians on Team East. Vito is not the first kid in Bluegrass to be invited to play in this prestigious game, nor will be the last - BUT, what an honor. He’s got a lot of games between now and then but thought the folks on this forum would want to know. He should be moving from 4star to a 5star soon!

Bowling Green and/or South Warren beats Boyle County, IMO

CovCath should be 14-0 waiting in Lexington to face their final opponent. Purples will more than likely be 7-1 when they face the 8-0 Spartans from SWARREN in regular season matchup. I know Highlands and maybe 1 other team may be a threat but I feel the Purples or Spartans will be Cov Cath opponent in December Getting ready to get interesting in a couple of weeks. Time will tell...

X begins to find their identity this Friday night. Predicting X plays their best game so far this season.

Purples win but still seem to not be firing on all cylinders. 9 different Purples with receptions. Bucannon threw a couple of ints but was trying to spread the wealth to some new receivers. Vito Tisdale goes for 165 yards (3TDs) in 10 carries. Purples hopefully came out of tonight with no injuries and some fairly rested legs. Hoping for same outcome next week with running clock and fast game vs Gators of Greenwood. Purples have 2 more weeks to get some rest to starters then they play top 25 team, Warren Central, Indy Keep working, Purples

Great job, 88! I’m fairly confident the Purples will be 7-1 when they face the 8-0 Spartans. Not overlooking or trying to be overconfident but it is what it is. My hope is that on the night the two teams play they will both be at or at least near 100% healthy. I will save my prediction till mid October. It will be a dandy and should prove to be a sampling of their 2nd game a few weeks after that one. It is what makes High School football the best sport in all the land!

Just got home. Another grinder out game for the Purples. Didn’t play great but played tough. Vito Tisdale was Vito Tisdale. I’m guessing 100 yards with two TDS. Blocked an extra point and stopped a two point conversion by knocking the Owsley kid into next week. I’ve never been one to be too hard on coaches but tonight’s game was a head scratcher to me. Clearly, best BG player is Tisdale and best Red Devil is Owsley. Purples played Tisdale perfectly but Owensboro hardly handed ball to Owsley. Had him playing the slot. Didn’t think they played him in correct position but oh well... Purples have taken a new identity in first 4 weeks under Spader. We are not the 50 point offense that we were for several years. I like how Spader is using the strength of the offense to his advantage. Run First Bucannon plays smart, no errors No turnovers Defense bends but doesn’t break Any Purple fan before season started would have LOVED to be 4-0 to start season. Purples will put it in cruise next three weeks and hopefully gain some strength and have some injury recovery. Try to find the highlight of Vito hitting the Owsley kid on 2 point conversion. Every college coach recruiting Vito will see it within next 72 hours. Good win Purples

If BG plays as well as Old Hickory taste, the Devils are in trouble. Wow, what a meal! Good luck teams, no injuries!

Vito Tisdale from Bowling Green. By far has played the toughest 3 opponents. Should get to play all game this Friday night but after this weekend, he will be used very seldom the next 3 weeks or so. Other RB may have more stats but anyone that is in the know should realize this is a no-brainer. Anyone that has his offers (as a Junior) will always be the superior athlete on the field

It could happen. Neither team better not take one another for granted. Anything can happen - good luck and may both teams escape injury free!

Great post. Somehow this post slipped by me. Anytime I get to talk about the Purples- I’m in! Coach Spader and his staff are doing great, no doubt about it. What TigerPride94 said about Vito Tisdale is also true. I am predicting Vito will have 2,500 all-purpose yards this season. What makes that remarkable is that no team is going to kick or punt the ball to him. If they did, he would have more than 3K all-purpose yards this season! Not bad... Not taking the Red Devils for granted though. Purples have potential to be emotionally drained after last weeks win, and you can’t sleep on the Owsley kid. He knows Vito and the hype that comes along with Vito. If ever he wanted to be at and play at his best it will be against the Purples Friday night. If Purples can get out of Barbeque town with a Win, they should be OK for a few more weeks. Any Purples fan would be fairly surprised seeing BG at 4-0 at the beginning of this season. It may become a reality in about 48 hours! Go Purples

Wonderful work. Thank you for the effort you put into this. Lots of kids on lots of teams are banged up. Hoping the next few days some great healing would come to these guys, especially the Seniors
