Bowling Green mauled Manual in the scrimmage last week. Central must not be as good as advertised.

Madisonville-North Hopkins/Warren Central Updates
Adopted Purple replied to swamprat's topic in KY Football (High School)
Tough opener for Warren Central. They will be much better than they were tonight. Madisonville is better than most thought. -
I agree that they will score a lot of points. That offense is unbelievable. The problem will be the new running clock rule. It will be much harder to break the season points record.

Most Purples fans expect this years team to be much better than last year. I was surprised they ran the table again last year. I won't be surprised if they do it this year.

The seniors have never lost. They went undefeated in 7th, 8th, freshman, JV, and varsity. The varsity lost a couple of games, when they were freshman, but they didn't start. Heck, Nacarius Fant's team went undefeated and won the Toy Bowl (6th grade champs). These guys don't know much about losing.

Warren Central may be getting use to a new QB, but should still come out on top by a couple of touchdowns.

I would love to see it go just like you say, Purple Nation, but Lexington Catholic is not a pushover, by any means. They have played the Purples as well as anybody the last couple of years. I believe Bowling Green will win, but not by 38 points. I do like your passion for the Purples though.

You have to have numbers to platoon. Bowling Green seemed to explode after going to the platoon system. There are so many advantages, if your school has the numbers and the coaches to implement it.

Maxpreps Football Rankings
Adopted Purple replied to All State Baseball's topic in KY Football (High School)
Any one of these 4 schools could be #1. No way of knowing until the season is over and we will probably still disagree then. With 6 classes, there will always be disagreement on who is #1. -
Harlan County 36 Knox Central 7 (Scrimmage)
Adopted Purple replied to All State Baseball's topic in KY Football (High School)
My friends in the mountains really like this Harlan County team. They may be the 5A team coming out of the East. -
It will shorten, what is already a bad game for one team, but it will cause more imbarrassment for the teams that aren't very good in the long run. There will be too many running clocks. Some games will only last about 30 minutes. I don't like it. Why can't they just leave things alone?

Sounds about right to me. -
Just one.

I have expectations (hopes mostly) of Bowling Green going undefeated for the third time in a row.

article Saint Xavier Tigers
Adopted Purple replied to AvidTiger's topic in KY Football (High School)
Bowling Green's Coach Wallace said Nacarius Fant would see significant time in the defensive backfield this year. Looks like it might be a trend of playing your best offensive weapon on defense. I think, if they are only used in certain situations, it shouldn't take away from their offensive output.
