Bowling Green hires Ben Bruni
Adopted Purple replied to imapurple's topic in KY Football (High School)
Mr. PurpleHaze, I am trying to find the history of Purples Football. I thought someone told me that you did the history on the website. Can you steer me in the right direction? -
He is a very good football player. I'm sure he will get many more offers. Looking forward to seeing him and Lexington Catholic in the Raffertys Bowl in the first game of the season.

Kentucky's Top 15 Football Dynasties
Adopted Purple replied to Ram's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think any list, that doesn't include Mayfield, loses all credibility. -

I think it will be a long time before we have to worry about a replacement for Coach Wallace. He loves what he does. -

You get your purple papers after 5 family members have attended school there or you donate a hundred thousand to the quarterback club. I think the hundred thousand would have been cheaper. -
Bowling Green hires Ben Bruni

His wife is a teacher and assistant softball coach at Bowling Green High and his children are in the city school system. Once a purple, always a purple. -
Adrian Middleton has committed to UK

South Warren has been open 3 or 4 years. The building also has a middle school in it. It was the largest school in the state, when it was built, at least in building size. Really nice school. -
Where Would You Have Played? (With a Twist)
Adopted Purple replied to Birdsfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
I would have played for last years John Hardin team. Great team and probably should have won the 5A title. They were one play away from the title game. -
Warren East pitcher Hunter Green is named 2013 Mr. Baseball. Green was selected 59th overall in the Major League Draft and the 2nd Mr. baseball at East in 3 years. Mark Biggs won in 2011.

Nacarius Fant - Bowling Green Purples
Adopted Purple replied to Purple Nation's topic in KY Football (High School)
According to twitter, Mr. Fant will sign with Western Kentucky University. He will be a great addition to WKU and I'm so glad to be able to watch this young man for several more years. -
Highlands new scoreboard/video board

I am certainly jealous. The Bluebirds are at the top of the list in Kentucky football and deserve everything they get. The only drawback I see is that referees don't like replays. Nothing worse than an embarrassed ref. -
R.C. Thomas was a beast in high school, but unfortunately got into drugs and ended up in prison for committing a horrendous crime. So sad.

Bowling Green - Top All-Time 3 Players
Adopted Purple replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
1.Robert Reynolds - best high school football player I have personally seen. 2. Nacarius Fant - most explosive player in BGHS history. 3. Derrick Kennedy- a man among men in 1994 & 1995 seasons. -
Put your hands in the air and do the hoky poky.

Nacarius Fant - Bowling Green Purples

I understand what you are saying. Sadly. The Jackson kid from Mayfield is a good example. Has the heart of a lion, but is just undersized. I wish UK or UL would have took a chance on him. Murray State got a steal. -
Nacarius Fant - Bowling Green Purples
Adopted Purple replied to Purple Nation's topic in KY Football (High School)
That is my bad Clyde. UK, UL and several bigger schools told him they had to wait and see how his season goes and how he does at some camps. I hope It doesn't cost UK. He reminds me of Derick Abney and I think could really help them. -

Any chance we might see Cooper over in Bowling Green again this year, Hellbird? -

Fant already has offers from UK, UL, WKU, Illinois and a couple of others. It's not like he isn't getting attention. He will definitely get a chance to shine at the next level. He went to the Under Armour camp last year and will probably attend again this year. Ohio State, Purdue and WKU came and talked to him at Spring Practice. Whoever gets him will be getting one of the most dynamic players I have ever seen. -

Fant definitely has the best hands I have ever seen for a high school player. I haven't seen a better wide receiver in many many years. He also runs the Wildcat very well. If they give him a chance, he could play for any college team out there. He's a great punt returner, also. -
Warren East's Hunter Green LHP

I have watched this kid pitch since Little League. He is the real deal. I would think he has to be the favorite to win Mr. Baseball. -
Trinity Releases 2013 Schedule Press Release
Adopted Purple replied to Clyde's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think this is the 1st time in a few years that the Trinity vs St. X. Game is not a sure thing for the Rocks. I believe they will win, but I think X will give them a good game.
