  1. Of course it varies somewhat year to year, the actual dress list has been cut by Trinity after the covid deal. It is usually around 75. That leaves about 15-20 sophomores/juniors off the dress list. St. Xavier is very similar, maybe averaging 10-15 more players. An extremely talented freshman can make the varsity travel squad. This past season saw one Trinity kicker on the varsity until the playoffs. For what its worth, the St. Xavier enrollment is around 1,100 and Trinity's is near 1,200.
  2. As I understand, there are not too many Kentucky programs reaching out to Trinity. In the recent past, Trinity has offered to pay for visiting teams transportation and a meal while they visit St. Matthews.
  3. For those interested in Spring Practice: From KHSAA: Each football school may conduct ten (10) spring practice periods of not more than two (2) hours in length and not more than one practice per day over ten (10) days during three consecutive calendar weeks, which shall be chosen by the school Trinity submitted April 7 through April 25 as their choice this spring.
  4. My understanding is Station dropped Trinity so they could pursue "bowl game" alternatives.
  5. I always enjoy looking ahead. Looks like District 5 (Trinity, Ballard, Eastern, and Oldham County) will play District 6 (Ryle, Great Crossing, Simon Kenton, and Campbell County) in the first two rounds in 2025. These districts will represent Region 3 (eastern half of Kentucky). This sets up possible games between Douglass, Trinity, Great Crossing, and Ryle in round three. Male, Manual. or St. Xavier may be opponent in fourth round. RPI will dictate who and where after first two rounds. Beginning of the next campaign is less than six months away!
  6. Henderson County traveled to Steinhauser Gymnasium for a 4PM battle with the Shamrocks. The # 1 ranked Region 2 Colonels made the trip without two starters who apparently were fighting the flu. Henderson is now 19-6 and the Rocks are 12-13. Trinity has two regular season games left before district play begins.
  7. 3A Central, 4A Boyle County, 5A Bowling Green and Owensboro will make for a nice farewell tour for Coach Wallace. I look forward to the announcement of next Executive Director of Athletics, who in turn will name Coach Wallace’s replacement. Do the Tiger faithful still believe Coach Powell is the heir apparent?
  8. My favorite team apparently does not have a choice. Maybe the KHSAA will adjust their version of RPI in the future. Maybe other 6A schools will have a change in their approach to scheduling…….
  9. I am happy Douglass agreed to play Trinity for two more seasons. Their three games versus 4A competition will be beneficial in the RPI system. Is Tates Creek considered their Fayette rival?
  10. I was told PRP reached out to Trinity to start this series. Bryan Station decided to pursue playing in season opening "Bowl" games and discontinue playing the Rocks.
  11. 10/31 remains open 10/10 at Ballard 10/17 Eastern 9/19 at Male this should complete the Trinity Varsity schedule for 2025.
  12. As of 1/16/25 eight of 32 6A schools will have new head coaches next season. Being competitive in any class is a tough job.
  13. That is as blunt as it can get. I believe it is wise for these schools and would hope several others would follow. A former coach explained to me in Jefferson County, this practice would be really frowned on and would immediately "kill" a football program locally.
  14. I am guessing Coach Reed will remain AD at East Oldham Middle School. I understand he prefers to "run the ball". Welcome to 6A District 5.
  15. I am told players prefer former U of L star and current assistant Bilal Powell as next head coach. The source states head coach announcement will be made in February.
  16. Thank you! Trinity recognizes Courier-Journal All-State in the season recap in the next football program. ☘️
  17. The C-J has been conducting the All-State poll since 1917. The sports writers originally traveled from all over Kentucky and met in Louisville to discuss and choose the All-State squad.
  18. Trinity Athletics X (formerly Twitter) account states Sr. Carson Hilbert was named to Kentucky All-State First Team as the kicker. I no longer subscribe to C-J, but this does not match up to the list provided by Colonels Wear Blue. Can someone please verify this information, thanks!
  19. Only 121 coaches bothered to vote!
  20. Mike Glaser pleaded for one more year and was turned away.....
  21. Bob Beatty is available and good for ten more years.
  22. I understand Coach Jamie Brown will not be applying for the OCHS head coaching position. ?
  23. If Jason Frakes says its true, it must be true! This is reported on his C-J by-line with quotes. I suppose the St. Xavier school president's job is safe for now and leading the nationwide search for Wallace's future replacement.
  24. Why would Coach Wallace announce retirement now with a $6,000,000 training facility on the horizon? His son works in Louisville for U of L, so he has family ties here. The post referenced above does not appear on St. Xavier website (www.saintx.com) and I could not locate on Twitter.
  25. I cannot locate original post on Twitter (X). Where did Coach Wallace post this in addition to Football Of Kentucky DBA?
