This should be a pretty desirable job for someone. Will they continue to be in Trinity's district?

I doubt the KHSAA will permit OCHS to change their district anytime soon.  The exception would be a "new" 6A team enters the division somewhere and forces changes in multiple districts.

Here's hoping Jamie Brown applies for this challenging position. He is in the Oldham county system and has some great experiences in his coaching past, including coaching at the University of Michigan.

Coach Brown had several losing seasons recently at North Oldham. In fact, he never had a winning season there. Check the records and the scores from his teams there. They were blown out of game after game. And that was in class 4A. Imagine stepping up to 6A with Godzilla in your district.

Having watched the staff prior to Jamie Brown at North and then the transition to Coach Brown, it was a huge difference. Coach Brown brought in a large staff, rallied the parents, created much needed structure and generated enthusiasm with the community/players and completely changed the face of the program in just two seasons. Talk to Coach Roberts at North and he will tell you that Jamie Brown laid the critical foundation for his current success there. I spoke with several players, parents and administrators who played for Coach Brown and they were devastated when he stepped down. Coach Brown is more than a good football Coach, he is a phenomenal Coach and leader who leads by example.

I firmly believe Coach Jamie Brown would be a great asset to OC. I believe he draws athletes to the Colonel program and builds on the talent already enrolled in Buckner. His expertise in offensive line play is where the Colonels need the most help next season. I hope he throws his hat in the ring.

I understand Coach Jamie Brown will not be applying for the OCHS head coaching position. ?

Any traction here?

He has a great administrative job in Oldham County, at East Oldham Middle School. I would say leaving that and all that is (the job itself + financially) would make returning to the sidelines a hard, hard sale.

Believe when he stepped down from South Oldham he was ready to hang it up for good. He has a daughter in college and a son that will be in college starting in the fall. I would imagine $ is his top priority right now. Can see him making a return further down the line but just not right now.

Any word on this job?

Well I stand corrected. Coach Jamie Reed is the new head coach at Oldham County High School.
