Ludlow likes to keep it in house. I'd be shocked if it was anyone but Vicki Wofford.... The Wofford's have made it quite the family thing over there. Likely both head varsity coaches and don't they have a couple daughters in the program and one coaching the middle school team?

That seems awful hard to believe. Can't imagine it would be that low. And while it is a tough gig in an All A with NC, Holy Cross, Newport, etc., they did win the NKAC DIII championship last year. But like any NKy DIII school, they'll have their cycles of talent come and go. And one of them may have just gone.

Jared Howard is the best player in division III basketball bar none. I know he has played some pick up games with the kids from Holmes and held his own and impressed the Holmes kids. Not too many kids in DIII could play DI, but he's one of them.

Good win for the Devils. Heard they did it without Brockman, who a lot of people would call their best returner.... They've got a shot to have a decent little team down there the next few years... Finally got some bigger guys with some athleticism to them up front....

Way to contribute to the conversation.... I'm sure if Coach Cal applied they would hire him as well, but as far as realistic candidates, I've heard they are looking within. Glad I cleared that up... Anyways... I spoke with someone VERY close to the Ludlow program, and he confirmed to me that the likely scenario at this point is Randy Wofford taking over the boy's and Vicki Wofford coaching the girls.... And that the school expects a big year from the boys. They think with a lot of returners including Howard and Cody this could be one of the best team's the river school has ever produced...

I've heard they had a few preliminary interviews for this position but are in no hurry at all to fill it.

I don't know if he had a tough time managing his players or not. But they did underachieve last season, which isn't the norm for Coach Hart's teams.

I've heard Dayton is very young. Read that they lost their scrimmage to Owen 18 to 0.

That's an awful long drive from/to Gallatin everyday. And it seems like an odd place to transfer if there was no move.... Interesting.

Figured I'd mentioned this in the Ludlow thread so I'd give it it's own. Seems like this would be a tough job to step into with Von Handorf and Phelps both transferring, but looking further it always seems that Villa has adequate junior Hugh teams for a small school.... What gives? Anyone know of any potential candidates?

Billy Miller is a solid nky d3 player. But he's not going to be top 20 in his class in the state, and he's not going to be as good good as Pelle. Pelle was playing professional basketball at one point. He could literally win games by himself in d3. I don't think people get how good he was. Even in the grove. He could have played at a lot of d1 schools but wasn't given the chance because he played at silver grove.

Very fast, quick, and crafty with the ball. Very mature game. What's he going to be now? A sophomore? Seems like's he's been playing forever. Definitely a solid DIII PG. Could play at bigger schools, which can't be said about a lot of DIII players. Needs to continue to work on his jump shot....

Has Andy Beard been on the staff at Ludlow the past few seasons? Total speculation on my part, just seems that with his dad as the principal/former coach and I know he was on staff at some point, and was a very nice d3 player in his day if I remember correctly...

Doesn't Coach Hart have a pretty talented kid that is in the program? I assume he will stay if Steve is staying in his administrative role? This would actually be a pretty good spot to start for an up and coming coach depending on which way Ludlow decides to go with it. On paper, for this year at least, they probably have two of the top three players in the conference and SHOULD win the conference. Then again, we could've said that last year as well and Villa surprised 'em... So... We'll see...

Wondering if he left his administrative role at the school as well? For what it's worth, Villa is looking for a HC last time I checked as well.

Austin Brockman could play for any team in NKY probably. They just struggle to find another 8 to put around him.

Have they offered Hatton? Is he out of their range?

Judging from what their bench looked like at state, they should have no shortage of assistants to choose from.

Carrigan really has that program moving in the right direction. They had a short bench last season as well, so there may be playing time available to him. If he works hard, he'll be a good fit there.
