I watched the NCC game vs HC. Barnes started and had 2 or 3 turnovers early they took him out, and he never came back in the game. Played maybe 2 minutes.

I think BGP should come up with a new nickname for a Dawn/Pangallo blend player.

Easier to coach is to vague . A bench warmer can be easy to coach. The better statement is its easier to win with D1 talent.

I'm guessing Ron sits someone on Schrand's right hand and makes him create left next time. Kid has a quick crossover , but is right dominated. Had an amazing game finishing in the paint. But I'm guessing after they watch the video it will be on top of the scouting report.

Yes. It was mistake , but they corrected it before any other play. Other than that mistake I thought it was a pretty well called game. With all the craziness in the gym after the intentional was called I give them a pass on the initial miss.

The kid was a monster on the boards. He was the exact opposite of soft. It's common for bigs guys to take the easier fade sometimes. I just wanted to point out why I thought he didn't always get the call . I have feeling next year he will be on the perimeter a lot more than he is called on now to do anyway.

The only glaring mistake the refs made. On the intenational late in the game Bezold made two FT's , when Scott should of took them. Refs to their credit corrected it and they took those FT's off the board and Scott ended up 1/2 . In any other scenario Dawn probably gets a technical but the refs knowing the messed up badly let it slide. Good swallow of the whistle.

Where did I call him soft? I complemented him in two posts. I was making an observation based on another post and the reaction of a lot of NCC fans around me. My point was I thought the refs called it correctly in the post. Since when is saying someone played exceptional , mean they are soft. There were times in the game where I thought Weyer could go for 50. I just made an observation that there were spurts he settled for a fade when he had a shorter player on him.

Just a comment on Weyer's play. I thought he was exceptional at times. I can see why he is going to Bellermaine. Very good skill set. But I saw LB13 make a comment on physical play in the post. My 3rd party observation they did allow a lot of action and banging go on in the paint on both sides. Weyer could of got a few more fouls called but he tends to fade away sometimes and not take it strong on a shorter player. Bezold also seems to be very strong and did a good job of forcing Weyer to catch the ball further out than he wanted and shoot it further out than he wanted. Bezold was always in good position so for Weyer to get the foul more often he need to take it at him more instead of fade.

I think I saw 8 players played but HC only played 8 as well. Playing to many players can be a disadvantage in tough games in my opinion unless your loaded.

Some sort of combination. It wasn't a hard foul , HC was just spreading them wide and players were stationary so it made the intention obvious because it wasn't in the flow of the game. The ref who made the initial call was going to just call a personal , my buddy and I looked at each other both said that should probably be an intentional. Then the other two refs ran over and conferred and both signaled intentional.

HC has the ball on the wing opposite of the stands and the NCC player went to foul a player standing on the opposite wing of the ball to put the person they wanted on the free throw line. Problem was the player was clearly stationary and the intention was clear.

I know NCC fans weren't happy and it may not be called often. But I was sitting with a former NCC player who I used to play against and we both agreed the intentional foul while "soft" was correct per the rule book.

I did not understand NCC pressing HC the entire game. In town for holidays first local game I've caught in a couple years. Bezold for HC and #3 both very impressive. Schrand taking it to the paint and finishing over and over. NCC Weyer obviously stood out and Moeves can stroke it . I also like the sophomore guard for NCC who's name and number slips my mind right now.

Great broadcast. Sounds like Coach Schrand made a great adjustment on Ohmer in the 2nd half.

That's a good reason. I was just curious the only small schools I ever remembered CCH playing were district opponents or other Catholic schools.

The point is I don't care if it's 1 or 20. Why do you as a grown man care. You need to do some soul searching on that.

It's just weird how a grown man is so absorbed by HS girls basketball. Weird. Very weird. When adults get so obessed where kids go to school I just laugh. I have more important things to worry about in my life.
