  1. I'm going to say something as an outsider and I know why this is a big deal OSU stole from Michigan. It's a rivalry, I get it. But Mattison , eh. I would of been excited 10 years ago not so much today.
  2. Reading this thread I don't understand anyone who down plays Fromm? Also Martell has to leave OSU after all his quotes. OSU doesn't want that locker room drama.
  3. Living in Cleveland I know the fans love this hire. But I think they will regret letting William's walk.
  4. 100% true. Much higher expectations at Georgia that now expects the SEC east every year.
  5. I don't know about the driving but I know as a customer Door Dash is better than uber eats.
  6. I'm glad UK won so this didn't sound bitter in a loss. But I'd like to repeat what I said in the update thread. That offensive foul on the three point shot might literally be the worst call I've every seen called on any level. That ref should be forced to watch that on a loop for 24 hours before he is allowed to ref again.
  7. I've never seen an offensive foul called on a jump shot in my 35 years on this planet.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but since Calapari came to Kentucky , UK is 6-3 against UNC.
  9. If Travis and Washington continue with this two man game plus Herro and Johnson hit shots good luck zoning this Cats team come conference play.
  10. The point being is your argument is flawed. ND plays an FBS school every game of the year. If the SEC has a title game it just makes up for most their joke of a non conference schedule. They have also allowed teams in who didnt make their conference championship. This specific year ND could have been in trouble. But in years when their schedule was top 10 they could make it with 1 loss.
  11. If I'm not mistaken wasn't Mich St. one loss to ND that year ?
  12. I disagree on the one loss point. I think it was in 2015 ND was in the top 4 late into the season until they got their 2nd loss. This year would of been tough because of how teams on their schedule ended up finishing. But there are some years ND schedule finishes top 10 and they could get in with one loss.
  13. I would say Catholicism and being the fighting Irish. Irish is the 2nd largest ethnicity in America. I'm Catholic and half Irish , I was told at a young age we root for Notre Dame.
  14. Notre Dame joining the Big 10 makes no sense. They already recruit the Midwest. If they joined a conference it should be the ACC or SEC.
  15. The recruiting pool is based on in state talent. But the point was if ND was in a conference they would not be able to properly take advantage of that Catholic base. The freedom allows them to be creative with the schedule and play in all the High School hot beds.
  16. Notre Dame showing it never needed a conference I forget if this article was posted on this site. It's from a few weeks ago. But it relevant because in another thread it was discussed Notre Dame should join a conference. I think this article articulates perfectly why it wouldn't be in Notre Dame's best interest.
  17. I'd have to see each situation and what words were used. If my kid were being lazy and pouting I probably wouldn't like worthless but I would understand the coaches intentions and wouldn't be upset.
  18. As long as it isn't physical, homophobic or racist. I think it builds character.
  19. It sounds like the players took back a lot of there accusations and this notion of a coach bullying players to play better was a funny quote. It's called motivation and pointing out your flaws. It sounds like these kids can't handle criticism which tells me they were sheltered at home. I know some will disagree with me but in my experience what helped me the most growing up were people willing to challenge me even if it wasn't comfortable. I didn't like some of it in the moment but I was lucky enough to have parents who knew I needed it.
  20. I don't think any power program turns down 5 stars but there was an obvious switch under Urban to recruit more nationally and put less emphasis on Ohio than past regimes.
  21. This is actually something I was wondering would he continue the Urban approach or go back to the pre-Urban era. I was wondering if OSU could continue the Urban approach after he left. Side note this is bad for UK.
  22. I mean under Kelly since 2010 ND has had one season with less than 8 wins and he has won 70% of his games. It's not Bama, OSU or Clemson. But under Kelly ND is a quality game on an opposing teams schedule.
