Didn't Carl Foster just have a meeting about this kind of behavior? I wasn't there but if it was NCC parents I would have to say the big C will be dropping the hammer on some today.

Heard his name is Joe Revell, coached football for years and baseball for about 15 years. Older, retired guy that is old school. That's about all I know.

Nice win for the Lady Birds. This team is just a blue collar team, they won't wow you but they get things done with defense, taking care of the ball, being in right position, running great half court sets and being very unselfish. They do all the little things good that put them in a position to win games. Very good athletes that understand team which makes them stronger.

I hope I'm not out of place for this and if I am I apologize but I look at it as the more prayers, the more hope. I was told that his wife's cancer is back, that's why he hasn't been there. Maybe someone from SK can fill us in more.

I got there right at the start of the varsity game and didn't see any of the JV but was told that SK JV is undefeated this year 17-0. Pipe line is deep at SK

Madison Meyer had a really nice game, posts up strong, finishes well and hits the boards especially when no one boxes her out. Camels would get one shot and done while SK had 3-4 attempts because of offensive rebounds. Not sure what the rebounds were for the game but I would guess we were killed on the glass. 16-13 after the 1st quarter and was 31-17 early in 2nd where SK outscored us 15-4 within a span of 2 minutes. Camels can't keep giving up 16-20 points a quarter and expect to win. Camels did cut it to 10 or 12 at the half but SK jumped on them in the 3rd to push the lead to as many as 30 then called off the dogs early in the 4th. Rebounding and defense was lacking for the Camels :banghead: On a side note, we in A-Town are keeping Coach Stowers family in our prayers. Great guy and coach. SK is a really good team, very unselfish with great half court sets and really expose mismatches well. They can pound it into the bigs and shoot lights out if needed. :thumb:

I stand corrected and from a reliable source was told this: Freshmen girls did play in nky region- lost to highlands in 1st game... Jv didn't play due to scheduling conflicts. This is 1st year in last 3 that jv didn't play. That is for the girls :thumb:

No idea why they don't. The freshman don't play in the freshman tournament either. Boys or girls. They play districts tournament with teams in our district and winner goes to regionals where 3 other regions are involved, only 4 teams and that's it. I do know Scott freshman boys play in both so it can be done. I wish the Camels played in both.

LB, I can't speak for any of the coaches that left but I will say NCC freshman coaches have always been strict with discipline, demanding hard work and great effort, and held kids accountable for their actions on the field, off the field and in the classroom. When these kids reached JV and Varsity there was definitely a difference where they had a lot more freedom. I kind of compare it to one parent always being strict and the other parent pampering the kids. Now whether that had anything to do with them leaving? Could of played some part in it but only they would know. I know one thing they put a ton of time in on working on the field. They still have one coach that puts a lot of time in taking care of the field and if he leaves that field will go downhill quickly. JMO

I agree that she needs to look to score more than she does, and this team needs some consistency on Offense but IMO the team defense is not where it needs to be. Their defense tonight border lined horrendous. Hurts that Brandi Rice is out with an ankle injury but this team has talent and their young. Hopefully they can tighten up the D with more consistency on O and finish strong if not they don't stand a chance in districts.

The weather has played havoc for all teams and the layoff was hopefully the cause of this sloppy game that was at times painful to watch. If the lady Camels are going to make any noise in the districts they are going to need to tighten up their defense and team defense quickly. Camels were led in scoring by 8th grader Taylor Clos with 18, Carson Gray, Kylie Kramer and Taylor Jolly all chipped in 9. Augusta's Jerica Kelsch led all scorers with 26.

Mn I agree 100%, Steve gets his kids to play hard and never stops coaching not matter what the score is or the outcome of the game. He earns the kids respect and everyone of his kids don't want to let him down. He shows the kids love and discipline when needed. He could coach my kids anyday. Scott had a tall task last night playing back to back games and missing one of their better players and scorers. Congrats to the camels an good luck at Mason County. Gotcha. I was going off Richard Skinners tweet per Ludlow AD and I agree, he will do great things for that program. Not sure who all interviewed but they got a great and dedicated one in Kevin. :thumb:

Congrats Tori. My daughter played AAU ball with Tori for several years. Fantastic young lady and parents are 1st class.

What I meant by that is how it was stated that some future high schoolers said that ND is out because of what is going on at the school. Maybe there's more to the problem, I don't have a clue but I think Buck will bring some stability to the volleyball program if the future high school volleyball players are looking at possible schools to attend.

As an outsider looking in Buck will do fine there and the panda parents, I think, will be happy with that hire. Girls on Bucks club team really like him and he knows and can teach the game and he has a great, calm demeanor with the girls. Once grade school parents see the type of coach and guy Buck is, the Pandas will be back in their high school search.

Same type of parent behavior is happening to coach Bradshaw. The volleyball program has had 4 different coaches in the last 6-8 years. 2 outstanding coaches in Tony Pfeffer and Leah Ballinger didn't reapply because of the parents and went else where. Melissa Johnson didn't get rehired because of parents. One thing I believe needs to happen is WE as parents sign a contract before every sports season to conduct ourselves properly and obey the 24 hour rule and all rules outlined in the parents contract. If parents break these rules, then they should be banned from attending the sporting events. Hold parents accountable for their misconduct. If we are going to hold coaches and players to a high standard then lets do the same for the parents. There's a sign above the door to the locker room in the gym that reads something to the effect that no one but players, coaches, officials and school administrators allowed beyond this point. We can't have angry parents after a game going pass 3 school administrators, crossing the sign that clearly states not to, voiding the contract that they signed and knocking on the coaches door to get their point across to the coaches of why they are so angry. Not the time or place for that type of behavior. Sleep on it, wait 24 hours and when you wake up the next day if you still feel the same way then request a meeting and go through the proper chain of command to set up that meeting. If they can't do that then someone needs to ban them from a certain number of games. If it happens again they are done for the year. IMO that would be a start to correcting a lot of the problem. I don't agree with every move or decision every coach makes but I'm not going to vent my frustrations to them after an emotional game because its real easy to sit and coach from the stands. I'm not at the practices or putting in all the hours of game preparation. Let the coaches coach and the parents cheer. When the inmates start running the asylum it's a recipe for disaster and the downfall of a program. So to answer your question we need to hold parents accountable and to the same standard we are holding the players, coaches and teachers to. I don't think that's beating a dead horse and I think that's something that can and needs to change. It's really a pretty simple fix if you think about it.:thumb:

Thanks Munoz. The girls, the parents and I would even say Mike has accepted the fact that he won't coach at CCHS again. Mike will be fine and land on his feet at another school. My concern now is for the kids. So we hire a new coach and a parent is unhappy over something? Same policies same results! Lets fix it so the next coach and kids have a fighting chance. Regardless of the mistakes made lets learn from this make sure it doesn't happen to a coach, teacher or administrator. These are the ones teaching and molding our kids, let them do it without having their hands tied behind their back.

I can't speak on behalf of coach Murray, but I wouldn't want my job back if I was in his shoes because of the trust factor. He is fighting this and maybe he is following the advice of a lawyer on what to do and what not to do, that's a guess because I have no clue on that. What I do have a clue on is how this all came about. I've seen some disturbing behavior from parents since all this went down and it needs to stop. These girls have been thru an emotional roller coaster and its not fair to them. Now we have girls not wanting to play next year and younger girls wanting to transfer. I want a solution so this doesn't happen again and the program prospers. A great leaders courage comes from passion not position!

So I'm suppose to put my kids necks on the chopping block and lead a brigade through the media to give CCHS a black eye and get the decision making people fired? Not my style. Look, CCHS education has been improving tremendously with the recent success in the classroom and the sports has had a lot of success in recent years but this whole thing was handled very badly. I just want the teachers and coaches to be able to do their jobs without repercussions because parents think they and their kids are owed something. I bleed purple and gold and have supported teachers, coaches, administrators and all the kids for many years. During those years I have NOT agreed with everything they have done but I don't complain and stir up a hornets nest or call for people's jobs over it. It's a life's learning lesson for the kids. When they get in the real world they are not going to like every boss they work for, they are going to have to adapt and overcome adversity because mommy and daddy is not always going to be there to bail them out. I'm not looking to get anyone fired, I just want policies changed to protect the very people that teach these kids valuable life lessons and to assure that this type of witch hunt doesn't happen again. I want to be apart of the solution, not bring more turmoil into it and if you think going to the media is the only answer then CCHS is worse shape than I thought.

So you believe that there's more to it? So he can't coach and can't be around 20 kids but he can still teach and be around 350 kids. Makes no sense. You said "maybe" more to it, well I'm telling you for a FACT that there isn't more to it. If there was more to it, the school would have a lot of explaining to do to the parents for their reasoning of still allowing him to teach.

If good judgment was used from the beginning, this wouldn't be going on. Most people at CCHS know who I am, what I believe in and what I stand for and I won't hide from that. I didn't and I won't post names on here because its not fair to the kids or other family members not involved and I won't jeopardize a kids future. I just wish the people that caused this would felt the same way before they put Mike and his daughters thru all this mess. Don't kid yourself or anyone else saying there is more to it. The allegations are just that allegations. I definitely don't agree with your statement if the program is going to survive the parents need to let it go. This program has been set back at least 5 years. It has trickled down to other sports. The message sent to the parents is if you are unhappy with a coach, send emails, rant and rave, sling mud and bully the coach to get what you think your daughter deserves. Policies best change and change quick or its going to get worse before it ever gets better. I guess I'm old school, I want my kids to EARN what they get. Parents and players understand that Mike will not be back but want to make sure that this doesn't happen again. Have to install policies to protect coaches and teachers because some of the same has happened since, but Pandoras Box has been opened! So your saying we should just let it go? Continue to let the squeaky wheel get the oil? Guess Bobby Knight was right, us parents should just lay back and enjoy it. When I see policies changing and administrators putting a stop to some of the parents bull:poop: then I'll let it go. Letting it go now ensures that the future of CC girls basketball remains how its is now and doesn't change and teaches the girls not to stand up for what is right. Sorry not this parent, when my kids started in the school system, I wanted to make a difference out there in kids life's and have been very active in the school. There's nobody that wants to see us succeed more than myself. Don't let it go, let's put our heads together and come up with a solution to ensure this type of non sense doesn't happen ever again.
