  1. Scott did not look good at all today. I haven't seen Campbell play, but based on their results it sounds like they are a long way ahead of the rest of the region.
  2. I'm guessing that's the two tall kids that came off the bench. If so, I agree with Juke. They struggled today to finish inside even when getting the ball down low with no one who should have been able to contest them. #42 did make some plays in the fourth quarter though.
  3. Sayre was up through the first 3 quarters. They were up 13 late in the first half before Back hit some big 3s to keep the game close. Finally in the 4th PCC used their size to take control. If I counted right, Duby had 18 in the first quarter and 36 for the game for Sayre, but his off balance 3 for the win was off, and a tip opportunity at the buzzer didn't fall. Fun game.
  4. Russellville led most of the game, but had to get a steal and hit a 3 with 7 seconds left to force OT. Sheldon Clark missed a 3 and put back at the buzzer in OT that would have won the game. Sheldon Clark shot really well late in the first half to stay close. When it looked like Russellville might pull away. The second half was pretty close throughout. Bradshaw had To have nearly 20 rebounds for the Panthers.
  5. It was a rough game for Scott. They gave up a bunch of open looks early, and then their offense disappeared in the middle of the game. Ohmer started off with a solid first quarter, but South did a good job taking him away after that, and no one picked up the slack. I'm guessing he ended with around 15, but he did sit most of the 3rd after picking up a T. Grubb was good for South Laurel. They did a great job moving on offense and getting good looks in close, or open 3s. They're a very solid team.
  6. I would say a 23 point win over Central Hardin is probably Southwestern's best result to date. A 30 point blowout of GRC was also noteworthy. I was also really impressed with their string of 3 wins over Madison Central, Eastern and Lawrence Co in the span of 2 days. None of those on their own really stand out, but as a whole they've put together a really solid season so far.
  7. Looks very good. There are a few minor changes I might make. I actually think Corbin should be higher (top 10). They are undefeated with a head to head win over your current #10 Lexington Catholic. I would probably switch Pulaski Co and Southwestern. The expectation was that Pulaski would be better going into the season, but I think Southwestern has a better resume so far this season I don't have Bardstown in the top 20, though not far off in the 21-25 range. I'd consider having Elliott Co round out the top 20, but they are much more of a question mark due to their lighter schedule so far. Butler and Valley would be another couple of options for that last spot. Again, very good rankings.
  8. I hadn't followed him any and was expecting Von Handorf to be their main player when I watched them in the KOB, but Fredrick really stole the show. He was very good.
  9. Will there be a radio broadcast for these games be on the internet anywhere?
  10. I heard Montgomery Co was lead by Canada's 17, followed by Davis with 7. I'm not sure when Jones is supposed to be back, but the Indians sorely need him to help get out of this losing stretch.
  11. I also wonder if Campbell Co is separating themselves from the pack. The loss to Bracken is a bit of a head scratcher, but outside of that game, their results aren't far from a top 25 team in the state.
  12. My main complaint is that the main gym is typically way too hot. I love watching all the games while I'm up there, but it's really hard to sit through 4 games when it's so hot/stuffy in the gym. I would also appreciate it if the box scores would be posted for all the games, instead of just the main draw. Or at least all of the games from the main gym.
  13. Berkmar's guards were really impressive. Cooks got the the basket at will. Lightning quick little guard who was very fun to watch. Taylor and Jones were dominant inside for BG, as Berkmar couldn't match up with them, but the guard play from Berkmar was too overwhelming for BG to take enough advantage inside.
  14. While Lovan didn't finish as well as I expect is typical for him, he showed a tremendous ability to get to the basket. I thought he played a better game on Sunday, but I was still impressed with him last night. If you can not stand out and still score 37, that's pretty impressive.
  15. Hollingsworth was ridiculous. That was a blast to watch. 21 pts in the first quarter, and after the first 8-10, Lee was chasing him pretty much everywhere for the rest of the game. It was a brilliant performance.
  16. I'm planning to head up there to watch the games tonight and tomorrow. How was the gym feeling? Last year it was ridiculously hot/stuffy in there, so I'm hoping it's a little more comfortable this year.
  17. What a crazy stretch this weekend. All 3 games were against solid teams.
  18. I thought these 2 would battle it out for the region this year, but it looks like it'll more likely be South Oldham and Oldham Co as the teams to beat, with Anderson Co still a big threat to either of them.
