Tates Creek 51 Madison Central 32
Also, Casey Grimes with 71 yards on the ground and a TD for Creek. Thought The line play for Creek was very solid and gave Gordon and Ryan plenty of time to pick apart the Central Defense. The QBs did a good job spreading the ball around, and you got to see some of the next wave of younger playmakers on display. JRs. Jaren Shelby and Max Sweet really did a nice job getting open and doing good work in space with the ball out of the backfield and slot positions.

Scott County 70 Henry Clay 34
- Bluegrass Area update Week 7
Bluegrass, I understand so much the feeling. Folks have such a negative energy towards Lexington football. So many great players come through Lexington and peple are quick to turn their noses up at these kids and teams. There should be more discussion about these teams and kids. And I will do my part in fostering just that.- Scott County 70 Henry Clay 34
Henry Clay has some dynamic offensive firepower and can hurt high school defenses. Scott County is the front runner in my mind as well. Seeing St. X being beaten by several teams, Trinity struggling to beat Manual. Scott County Has the firepower to defintiely win it all. They gave a great Trinity team all they wanted last year and should have beat them. They brought most of that team back. Who is better then them? Seriously....- Tates Creek 51 Madison Central 32
Graham Gordon threw from 18-25 for 180+ yards and 4 TDs and 1 INT. Jake Ryan played very well at QB as well and threw for 90+ yards and a TD. RJ Taylor from Creek had a TD reception, INT, and a fumble recovery. Martavius Carter had a scintillating 93 yard kick return. Tavon Dunn had 2 TD receptions before being injured late in the game and taken to UK hospital with a neck injury. Great news is early this morning Tavon walked out of the hospital. Madison Central side began and ended with do everything back Jawan Williams #36 (check my spelling). Had 160 yards on the ground on a ton of carries and had a kick return. Very nice player. Very small but hard to bring down. Madison Central will be very good soon, they are just a very young team. But have some really nice players.- Bluegrass Area update Week 7
Interesting to me that Dunbar jumps Tates creek when Tates Creek beat Dunbar head to head and only lost to ranked teams Henry Clay by 1 score and Station by 10. Tates creek beat Dunbar who beat Station who beat Creek. Why would anyone move any direction on that? But hey, it's your poll, I have no issue with it. Just discussing.- Paul Laurence Dunbar/Bryan Station Updates
Dunbar is legit. Good ball club. Good win for the program- No more postgame handshakes?
I can see where some of this is coming from. But I also know that the best players have respect for each other and will meet up after the games to show appreciation and respect for the other. Happens every game that we are at. You'll see 3-4-5 kids of each migrate to each other smiling, laughing, sharing that bond of battle. That will still continue regardless of mandated no shakes.- Photos of your son, we will be at the Tates Creek/Madison Central game taking photos!
These guys do a fantastic job of capturing moments trust me. I used them for a game already in the season and the results were great. Capturing not only ACTION moments that are exhilirating, but also private moments where your child may be talking with another player, or sitting to themselves in thought. These guys really do a great job with this. And also, if there were any type of issue, they stand right up and make it right. I give my full recommendation to any parent that would like some truly special pictures and keepsakes.- Best RB in Kentucky?
And Elijah could each up 3 and 400 yard games if they so chose to do so. He gains his yards on 10-15 carries a game. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/1531230/highlights/18306410...........- Best RB in Kentucky?
The best Running Back in the state is Elijah Bell from Henry Clay. I've watched Damian Harris, Charles Walker, in person. All great players. And none anywhere near Elijah Bell. IMO......Damian may have the brightest future or best offer sheet. But that doesn't mean he's the best in high school.- Dixie Heights 40 Tates Creek 6
Hats off to Dixie. Kicked our tails on the line of scrimmage. And a class group. The players were very complimentary of ours after the game. The game was lost in the line. Tates Creek wasn't able to take advantage of its speed advantage due to getting handled at the point of attack. Impressed with the Washington kid and the big strong back. Creek just needs to regroup and get ready for district play. Still a great shot to win the last 3 and finish 7-3. Bad games happen. This was Creeks- Tates Creek at Dixie Heights 10/4 Predictions
Im sure that is all true. The Gordon kid is a great kid that doesnt blow off practices or team events. So, Im sure its more of the staff using one of the leaders as an example. 2 Series can be big, but its a matter of principle. Graham and his family is solid as an oak, and this wont bother him beyond lighting a fire for him to compete. He is very competitive. I give Coach Harmon and staff credit for setting the bar, and holding the young men to the standards set. Plenty of times we get at the coaches and staffs of all these teams, sometimes deserved and sometimes not, so goes our lives as armchair QB's. In this situation I think the staff is simply sticking to its rules.- Tates Creek at Dixie Heights 10/4 Predictions
Creek has a very solid SR. QB in Jake Ryan that's been a starter who will start and do a good job. Discipline issues happen. And in regards to the transfer situation, Id keep that off the board. Creek has a great group of kids and a very good team this year. Very senior laden, this isn't a distraction. It's just part of high school football.- Tates Creek at Dixie Heights 10/4 Predictions
From what I understand it's not near as dastardly as it sounds. Apparently Gordon missed a film session. So he isn't starting. No big deal. Sit out a series or 2, then get in and work out.- Bryan Station vs. Lafayette Predictions
This will be another tough city game. I don't count out any team this season in Lexington. A group of good teams. Lafayette will need to deal with the uptempo of Bryan Station offense. Can Lafayette score enough as they deal with their injuries to hang in. Will be a good one. IMO.- Tates Creek at Dixie Heights 10/4 Predictions
I think this will be a good ball game. A tough one for Creek, traveling on the road again to another top 10 team. Creek has battled in their 2 losses. Losing by 1 score to Top 10 Henry Clay, and roaring back against Bryan Station falling short by 10. Dixie poses another stuff test and looks like the real deal on film. Will be a tough game for Creek. Creek is a tough, gritty team that won't lay down or quit. Will be a good test for Dixie.- Dixie / Tates Creek Predictions
Looking forward to this game. Dixie looks strong and big. Creek needs to get a good week of practice in and get prepared for a very good Dixie team. Creek players looking to bounce back after dropping a game they felt they should have won. Will be fun.- Bryan Station 42 Tates Creek 32
Heck of a comeback from Creek falls short. Got jumped in the first half and could have folded up shop. But dug down and found all types of heart and at the end of the game was the better team in the 2nd half. They fell a few minutes short if pulling off a helluva comeback. Lots of heart in this bunch. Hats off to Station for a great gameplan. And lots of great players in this game.- Bryan Station (1-2) @ Tates Creek (4-1) 9/28 *Rivalry Game*
If Creek scores only 7 points something has fallen apart......no way, shape, or form does either team score just 7 IMO......- Bryan Station (1-2) @ Tates Creek (4-1) 9/28 *Rivalry Game*
Who wins and why? Big City Rivalry Game, 1 of the better games in Central KY this weekend.- Graham Gordon Tates Creek JR QB
This kid is legit. And I've been fortunate to be able to watch him develop over the last couple of years. Great kid. Great player. He's having a strong year for Tates Creek and will be key to Creeks success going forward and in the playoffs.- Graham Gordon Tates Creek JR QB
Also just came off of a game in which he passed For 285 yards and 5 TDs. Very accurate passer and a very athletic and skilled runner. Very mobile QB....- Graham Gordon Tates Creek JR QB
Has thrown for 981 yards 13 TDs and 3 INTs. Is off to a fantastic start this season and really is one of the keys to Tates Creek being 4-1 on the season. Graham was a playmaker last year as well, throwing for 2300+ yards but threw as many INTs as TDs. He was a young Sophomore, rotating snaps in a QB battle last year, and the one knock if any was decision making. This year, a full year under his belt, Graham has truly developed and matured into a very good QB and deserving of some attention. Graham has the controls of the offense now. Lots of QBs in KY garner attention and deservedly so, but Graham definitely deserves some props. Great QB and an even better kid with a great family. I think Graham has an extremely bright future and thought he deserved some mention.- Ashland at Rowan County Predictions
