  1. I too, see Tates Creek winning this one. Contrast of styles, boxer/puncher if you will. Dunbar will look to ground and pound and keep Creek away from the ball. Creek will look to score early and often, I like the passing attack of Tates Creek as the most favorable of the matchups having the ability to score from anywhere, in comparison to the more deliberate style of Dunbar's offense. This is a very focused group at Creek and I don't see them losing in their own field in a game that they have had 2 weeks to prepare for.
  2. Love this 1-4 matchup. Should be 1 of the Best Games of the early playoff schedule. Very excited to see how Creek performs with a great opportunity to get their first playoff victory in quite some time, to go along with their first district title in 8 years. Tates Creek is a lot more explosive than they showed in the first game of the year, while Dunbar will be much more comfortable and efficient while running the Triple Option. This has all the makings of a great early round game. Just what we want in Central KY, is meaningful playoff games with high excitement value, and good football. 2 good, solid football teams with 2 totally different approaches.
  3. But I tell you what. Dunbar is a very dangerous team with some really skilled players and Paul Rains is definitely looking to try and make a statement in this one. I really like this Dunbar team, becuase they have fought through the adversity of the last few seasons to have a very productive year. Will be a fun, typical city rivalry game. Looking forward to it.
  4. Dunbar will look to ground and pound and keep the ball away from Creek. Dunbar will need to play clean, turnover free football, and not get down early. IMO.
  5. Dunbar was up 2 scores early and apparently couldn't finish. Not sure really. That kind of effort against Creek will get them lit up in this one.
  6. My thoughts on this game is that Tates Creek had a BYE in week 10 and was able to get everyone back healthy at the right time. Coming into this game I think that most of Creeks players will be at or near 100%. Or as close as possible. Also, coming off of winning the District Title, Creek really targeted this game in a game that they feel they have favorable matchups in this game. Dunbar has stalled coming down the stretch as the level of competition rose, but has played tough in their games. I'll take the #1 seed Creekers 35-21 in a 2 score game.
  7. Who wins this rematch of city rivals in the playoffs. Tates Creek won the first matchup in a tough, gritty game in week 0 to start the season.
  8. FOX 56 Lexington :: High School Sports Show - Athlete of the Week - Tates Creek's R.J. Taylor (Week 9)........
  9. Great Post. Agree 100%
  10. yeah we cleared that up. Seeing that you were there, how was that game, would you call it a good game, closely contested??? Was Scott County Outmathced in this one?
  11. Good Luck to St. X playing Cincy St. X this week, Represent KY football and handle them cats.
  12. I now must shower and wash off all of the Scott county I have subjected myself to. YUCK.......(just kidding Scott Countyians) But My hypocrisy only goes so far....
  13. Right. Past performance not being used as evidence like you suggest. Then you of all people should support a team that is undefeated atop the rankings. If not using your sense of past accomplishment, you have tangible evidence that none of the teams in the super district are unbeatable. Tangible. As to this season, Scott county is unbeaten and deserving of the #1 Ranking by their name. anything else, is speculation and theory. Unless you want to use past performance as a predictor......but you say that doesnt matter....soooooooooooo..... Peace and Love Folks
  14. With that, Ive spent way too much time discussing a team I despise and having to defend them has made me nauseous..... I wish all of you the best of luck in the playoffs.
  15. Male actually beat Scott County in 2010 in the State Semis. Scott County finished State Semis in 2010 State Final Runners Up in 2011 2012 State Semis- losing by 1 score to Trinity And now steam rolling their schedule. What again have they done to hurt themselves. If anything, you see a pattern and trend that should show merit against any of the hogwash hypotheticals. They have proven to make the deep run into the playoffs and be competitive against the best. And they are undefeated, you can think that they arent the best team in the state, thats theory.... but we have tangible proof that the other teams arent the best in state, they've physically lost, and to in state teams....... I just dont think that the state has to slurp up everything the media and folks want to pump about the "SUPER DISTRICT". Their are other teams that play football. Give them their due.
  16. You are right. I was thinking that they may have played but it was Simon Kenton instead.
  17. And to add to it. The current #2 was beaten by Scott County last season 56-6 and 47-9 in the playoffs. But Hey, they arent from the Super District so it doesnt matter either......
  18. And your first mistake is creatinig hypotheicals to stand your ground on. It is fodder so thats why these discussions happen. IF they played here, or IF they played here......The reason past performance is brought up is due to the fact that not playing in the super district hasnt stopped their success over the last few seasons, and this is the best group that they have fielded to date. So while parity has sat in the Super Disctrict, Scott county has built a team worthy of contention. Not unlike 2011, or 2012........
  19. And what you and them are missing is that it is equally presumptuous to see that they wouldnt. They stood toe to toe with Trinity with all of it on the line and lost by 1 in a game they dominated for the majority, how did your team do in comparison with St. X. Also, Scott County beat Male along the way if Im not mistaken. Its simply the super district (and rightfully so in most instances) to arrogantly say, well if they were in theSuper District what would or wouldnt happen.........You cant thump your chest about how tough your district is then turn around and cry about playing in it.. IT is the SUPER DISTRICT afterall.....
  20. Again, my team isnt mentioned in the thread. I simply am pointing out that all the crying and whining about Scott County being ranked 1st is weak. They have more than earned it with their play this season, and have been at the top of the heap for the last few years......Their trend and pattern over that time frame more than justify why they have earned the right to be ranked that high. I couldnt care any less about any of teams mentioned, especially Scott County. But whats real is real.
  21. (15-14 in playoffs after losing him in the first half.) CHECKS EYES.......SEEMS TO WORK JUST FINE
