Madison Central @ Clark County
They can definitely win that game. Trust me We played them in back to back weeks and was as impressed with them as I was Central. I truly think that If they come with the same focus they did against Creek, that they can definitely get a win.

Question....
Here's the specific scenario. District records. Lafayette (2-0) Madison Central (1-1) Tates Creek (1-1) Clark Co. (0-2) Creek plays Lafayette Central plays Clark IF, Creek beats Lafayette, and Central beats Clark. 3 teams sit with 2-1 records. Who wins the district and who is 2nd?

Question....
I'm not getting it. If 3 teams tied at 2-1 in the district. They will go and see which team played the toughest schedule in essence??

I don't see thSt at all. Seen them both between the lines. Not much difference between these teams.

What's crazy is how ridiculous the "controversy" REALLY WAS. There wasn't anything. The punter on 4th down ran around for 10+ seconds. The clock never started. Wasn't even close. It was more a controversy out of desperation. Truly. Earlier in the 4th quarter the clock stayed at 732 for over 2 minutes while we yelled in vain at the scorekeeper. SMH. But the punter literally ran backwards and rolled around with no issue. It wasn't even close to being an issue.

Question....
If 3 teams finish 2-1 in District play. What is the tiebreaker?

Sharock started from the very first snap. Skinner was being used as a Back. He got hurt early in the 2nd quarter. And came back in and fumbled on his first play. The Sharock kid played very well I thought. Ran really hard. Threw the ball pretty well as well. Didn't make a ton of mistakes.

Thanks Gold. Your kids played very hard and with purpose. They can beat Central. We should have beaten Central. Lafayette completely shut them out. No reason for Clark County to not be in this game. We are looking to beat our Rival Lafayette this week and try and win this district. Or at least get a piece of it. Big big week for us this week

There is something up that I don't know about. Marshall, Dennis, RJ, Casey. All play sparingly on D......your guess is as good as mine.

Gold. You get a chance to talk to your folks about the game?

I just wish someone would listen and break Creek out of the 3-4 allignment. Creek has speed but very limited size and strength. LOAD THE BOX AND DARE TEAMS TO TRY YOU UP TOP!!!!!! Please Lord, LOAD THE BOX AND make teams be as 1 dimensional as possible. Take advantage of the 1 strength we have on Defense. It's secondary and linebackers. Creeks back 7 is very solid. But tackling Backs 5-10 yards deep is not a recipe for success.

Madison Central @ Clark County
After playing both I think Central should be favored but do not rule out an improving Clark County team. Central is more explosive but if Clark can play clean and limit turnovers/penalties they can be right there. I'd say 28-21 Central. But would not be surprised to see Clark knock off Central.

The officiating wasn't great in this game. For either team and the clock operator was bad in this game. The officials blew a 2 point conversion call where Oxensine blatantly ran across the goal line in front of the pile on, but the ref didn't see it and ruled him out. Those 2 points could have been huge. The last play of the game, creek had to punt with 4 seconds remaining. So our punter received the snap and proceeded to run around to run the clock. Ran for somewhere between 7-10 seconds worth of running before being tackled. The clock operator didn't start the clock till the very end of the play. He gets tackled with what looks like should have been 1 second left to Clark County, even though they never ran the clock. Clark county was mad, Creek was mad. So the end of the game had a lot of emotion. And one of Clark County's players while coming thru the line to shake hands spit in Dennis Oxendines face which led to a fight midfield between the teams. Wasn't a great ending to a very good game.

Clark County played hard, and played to win. Hats off to them. They were hurt by some costly turnovers, and some very bad penalties. Also, Skinner got hurt early in the 2nd quarter and never really could get back in the flow of the game. Came back in and fumbled immediately. Didn't see him much from there. Tate's Creek showed its versatility on offense as it can throw the ball to multiple weapons. TDs scored by RJ Taylor, Tavon Dunn, Graham Gordon, and Dennis Oxendine for 3.

From here, it turned into the Dennis Oxendine show, he scored 2 more TDs in this half and put it all on the field and left a very special Senior night at Creek. Creek seized control in this half with its ability to throw the football in the 3rd quarter. Graham Gordon throws a beautiful corner route to the other standout receiver #8 Tavon Dunn to push the score up 2 scores. Clark County would score late and cut it to a 1 score game. But Creek turned to the running game and basically ran out the clock in the 4th quarter.

Clark County went to its bread and butter and kept the ball in big #33 and #1 hands as they hurt Creek on the ground. Neither defense looked interested in stopping the other in the first half. What was interesting to me was the very solid play of The Clark QB. Wasn't the kid we have seen on film. But he played a nice game. Score was 27-25 at the half Clark County lead.

Tate's creek received first and went right down the field primarily through the air and scored on a 30 yard slant to RJ Taylor who took it to the house. Clark county received the kick. And methodically drive down the field with a nice mix of plays, run and pass, and scored on a QB rollout. Creek received the ensuing kickoff and Dennis Oxendine returned the kick 95 yards as Creek led 13-7 after a missed xp. From here, Creek turned the ball over twice and Clark County took early control

Tates Creek Sophmore QB breaks record
Great young man. Very deserving, and is just scratching the surface of where he will finish up. Proud to watch him week in and week out and getting to watch his development

I actually think that these District playoff pairings will all be highly contested, outside of Scott County.

The Lexington #2 is Bryan Station. Will be a tough matchup for whomever the #3 is from the NKY district.
