  1. Numbers tell truths....your opinion is simply that.
  2. There is no such SOLE DETERMINING FACTOR. But the poster wanted to know "Does size matter". Obviously it's yes.
  3. I saw that. Conversely, the lowest enrollment schools had a combined record of 38-62....... 10 largest 70-30 10 smallest 38-62
  4. Bryan Station (6-4) Pleasure Ridge Park (10-0) Lafayette (7-3) Henderson County(8-2) Paul Laurence Dunbar ((3-7) Eastern (8-2) Henry Clay (4-6) Scott County (9-1) Trinity (Louisville) (9-1) St. Xavier (6-4) A total record of 70-30 for the 10 largest schools Conversely the lowest 10 enrollment schools in 6A are 38-62.....
  5. Could you take the 10 largest enrollments and see what their records are?
  6. Similar to the Lexington schools that deal with districting and zoning.
  7. You maybe right. It was a stat someone quoted to me on the administration.
  8. Tates Creek has the smallest enrollment in 6A. Should be a 5A by definition....
  9. The best football played in Lexington is Catholic. Who doesn't have to abide by district and is like Trinity and X by those rights.......SMH.
  10. Is It the only factor. OF COURSE NOT. Coaching, support, money, middle school feeder systems, some schools boundaries or lack thereof......etc...
  11. You post the question. Does Enrollment size matter? The answer is a resounding yes. Does it matter that you can select your 100 football players from 1400 males or from 500 males. You do the math. What are the odds in finding the better group of players????? Or is it that you believe that the best athletes and football players simply are born in Ft Thomas and in Louisville??? More inaccurate assumptions. Having a larger pool to choose from obviously "matters"....
  12. My bad Jim. Definitely not a naysayer. But wrong thread for my discussion.
  13. Enrollment obviously matters when comparing MALE enrollment. Also Fayette county hampers its football with the hoops It makes the schools jump through that most counties and other cities don't have to play by. Do folks really think that there isn't football talent in Lexington??? Magically the Lexington schools can't play football???? SMH.
  14. There are so many more issues that are higher up on my list. Like the competitive disadvantages that Fayette County restricts itself with......folks wonder why Lexington football is lackluster.......SMH
  15. I agree you. I am by no means justifying the current structure. But that is just 1 small aspect that I have an issue with the KHSAA....
  16. In the extreme you guys are correct. But that is for the 1 loss teams Facing juggernauts. There are plenty of good 1st round games. For instance, Tates Creek was the 4 seed last year and had to travel to1 seed Campbell county where they lost a 22-20 heartbreaker with 2 passes in the end zone from the 20 yd line at the horn. There are some good games that come from this format.
  17. Thank you very much leather......I'll pass along the well wishes when he comes over with my son.
