Who wins this rematch of city rivals in the playoffs. Tates Creek won the first matchup in a tough, gritty game in week 0 to start the season.

My thoughts on this game is that Tates Creek had a BYE in week 10 and was able to get everyone back healthy at the right time. Coming into this game I think that most of Creeks players will be at or near 100%. Or as close as possible.

Also, coming off of winning the District Title, Creek really targeted this game in a game that they feel they have favorable matchups in this game. Dunbar has stalled coming down the stretch as the level of competition rose, but has played tough in their games.

I'll take the #1 seed Creekers 35-21 in a 2 score game.

Creek wins this one... "IF", they get out of the gate early (which they usually don't), and "IF", they throw the ball in the first half (which they usually don't)... Good luck to the Creekers...

Dunbar 34-30.

What happened with Dunbar vs. Mercer?

Dunbar was up 2 scores early and apparently couldn't finish. Not sure really. That kind of effort against Creek will get them lit up in this one.

Dunbar will look to ground and pound and keep the ball away from Creek. Dunbar will need to play clean, turnover free football, and not get down early. IMO.

But I tell you what. Dunbar is a very dangerous team with some really skilled players and Paul Rains is definitely looking to try and make a statement in this one. I really like this Dunbar team, becuase they have fought through the adversity of the last few seasons to have a very productive year. Will be a fun, typical city rivalry game. Looking forward to it.

Creek's has the momentum box checked after winning the D8 title, whereas Dunbar has lost it's last 3 games (yes, 2 were only by a touchdown, but any way you slice it, those were 3 losses to end their regular season). Creek 42 - Dunbar 39

Will go with Tates Creek on this one. Mainly because this team has achieved some goals and probably wants to keep their season going.

As noted, Rains would love to make a statement. The question will be can the new found excitement at Dunbar carry into the playoffs.

I too, see Tates Creek winning this one. Contrast of styles, boxer/puncher if you will. Dunbar will look to ground and pound and keep Creek away from the ball. Creek will look to score early and often, I like the passing attack of Tates Creek as the most favorable of the matchups having the ability to score from anywhere, in comparison to the more deliberate style of Dunbar's offense. This is a very focused group at Creek and I don't see them losing in their own field in a game that they have had 2 weeks to prepare for.
