Graham Gordon Tates Creek JR QB

Featured Replies

Has thrown for 981 yards 13 TDs and 3 INTs. Is off to a fantastic start this season and really is one of the keys to Tates Creek being 4-1 on the season. Graham was a playmaker last year as well, throwing for 2300+ yards but threw as many INTs as TDs. He was a young Sophomore, rotating snaps in a QB battle last year, and the one knock if any was decision making. This year, a full year under his belt, Graham has truly developed and matured into a very good QB and deserving of some attention. Graham has the controls of the offense now. Lots of QBs in KY garner attention and deservedly so, but Graham definitely deserves some props. Great QB and an even better kid with a great family. I think Graham has an extremely bright future and thought he deserved some mention.

Also just came off of a game in which he passed

For 285 yards and 5 TDs. Very accurate passer and a very athletic and skilled runner. Very mobile QB....

I know his parents, he's a great kid. Tough as nails too! He took a big hit in the 1st game of the season against Dunbar, that left a hematoma the size of a grape fruit under his throwing arm. The doctor cleared him to play, as long as he could stand the pain. With nothing more than an Advil, he played through the pain with solid games against Perry County and Henry Clay. Below is a highlight that his head coach made last week. The Rowan County game isn't on there but you can scroll down to catch that game. Check out the second play on the highlight. It's absolutely ridiculous! How he manages to stay on his feet, get the throw off, and complete this pass is insane!

I thought this was worth noting. Of the QB's in the state that are reporting stats to the KHSAA, that have thrown at least 100 passes half way through the season, only one QB in the state has a better completion percentage than Graham Gordon's 68.3 percent completion rating. And that QB is sitting at 68.7... I'll be excited to see how the second half of the season plays out for this young man.

This kid is legit. And I've been fortunate to be able to watch him develop over the last couple of years. Great kid. Great player. He's having a strong year for Tates Creek and will be key to Creeks success going forward and in the playoffs.
